For my mobile menu’s, I have the option selected to hide submenus until parent menu is clicked (theme options- header- mobile menu), as otherwise too many menu links clutter the page. This part works fine, and submenus do appear when the parent menu link is clicked, but before you can select an item from a submenu, the link attached to the parent menu item activates and opens that page.
So this means I can never reach the submenu links. I would expect normal operation to be:
    1. click parent menu
    2. submenu appears (no page opens yet)
    3. click submenu item, or parent menu item again, to open that menu link

Currently step 2 does open the submenu but also goes directly to the linked page of that parent menu

    How can this be fixed?
    Thanks.

    Hey dannywouters21,

If you do not like the main main to re-direct please try adding the menu as a custom link and just leave URL field with a #
In that case we can add an icon which will do the job for you please refer this link https://kriesi.at/support/topic/customizing-the-icon-menu/#post-728168

    Hi Vinay,
    Thanks for your suggestion.
I followed that thread and I like the approach of adding the + icon for expanding submenus.
However I don’t want to remove the parent menu link, as it is a valid link/page that needs to stay in place. Is there an easy way to expand the submenu when clicking the “+” icon gold area, and the rest of the menu line still links to the parent page?

Also with the code on the your other thread, my mega menu no longer centers on the page with this added code ( when viewed on desktops), the other submenus are still ok.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

The main menu links will work if you add them as a page. Submenu can be toggled by adding a ” + ” icon.

Let me take a closer look at this issue Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • The URL to the login screen.
    • A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
    • As well as a password for that username.
    • permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

    Best regards,

Hi Thanks for the help I like your solution!
I do still have the issue with the products mega-menu no longer centering on the page when viewed as desktop. How can that be fixed?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I think that was due to a caching issue. The site appears fine on my end after clearing the cache.

You may not see the changes until the cached files are cleared in your browser.

Please try to hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” and review the site again.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hi Vinay,
Yes the mega menu is OK sorry I should have made sure all cache was cleared first.
I also noticed you adjusted the “+” area color to be in line with the theme colors, thank you for that.

If you further were to develop this menu option ( it would be a great feature to integrate in a future release of enfold) it would be nice if the “+” changed to a “-” if the menu is expanded, and that the expand option goes down to the deeper submenus instead of just one level.
But I am satisfied with this solution at this time, thank you!

    Hi,

Thank you for your kind words, we would be glad to help you with this customization and hopefully add this in our future updates, but at the moment there is no easy way to do this by using a small custom code snippet.

But please feel free to request such feature at our feature request system: https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/

This system allows us to keep track of user suggestions and lets you vote on the feature you would like to see the most. I am afraid though there is no guarantee that a feature will get implemented. If that’s something you really need you can always try to hire a developer for the task :)

We really appreciate it if you rate our theme on themeforest https://themeforest.net/downloads

To know more about enfold features please check – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/

Thank you for using Enfold :)

    Best regards,
    Vinay
