Hi
My website http://www.escapes4u.com looks great on desktop, and mobile in landscape however in portrait which most visitors will first see the layout looks terrible, photos don’t render well and videos i have on most pages look squashed. I have a sticky menu that follows you no matter where you are on the page and that seems to be cutting off the headline on each page.
Advice please asap. Many thanks MD
October 1, 2017 at 8:02 pm #858969Hey ALPS4U,
I don’t seem to see the errors you disciple in Android, which device are you seeing the errors in?Best regards,
MikeOctober 1, 2017 at 9:48 pm #859001Its on an IPhone 6.
I saw that the latest version of the enfold theme v4.1 has significant upgrades for mobile viewing. I only bought mine about 3 months or so ago how do I tell what version I am running?
October 2, 2017 at 6:29 am #859086Hi,
You can see the version under Appearance->Themes. You are running 3.8, maybe you could try updating to the latest version (4.1.2) to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
RikardOctober 3, 2017 at 4:37 pm #859684I think that’s a good idea. I have been using a developer and guess they are not familiar with v4.1 themselves so any advice on that? Is the upgrade free?
October 3, 2017 at 6:30 pm #859717Hi!
Yes, it is free. You can refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and update the theme. And you can check highlighted new features of version 4.1 here – http://kriesi.at/archives/enfold-4-1-mobile-improvements-photography-demos-new-gallery-and-more :)
Cheers!

YigitOctober 25, 2017 at 11:07 am #868652Hi I made the update to v4.12 and I lost my mobile menu. Everything else is fine. I was watching a youtube video on mobile menus in enfold and they go to the header section. They have header layout, behaviour, extra elemtns, transparency options, then mobile menu at the far end. On mine I have the first four but no mobile menu tab. Any help please>?
October 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm #868723Hi,
Do you have a caching plugin enabled? if yes please try to flush out the cache. If it doesn’t work, can you give us temporary admin access? just post the details in Private Content.
Best regards,
NikkoOctober 25, 2017 at 2:33 pm #868737tried deactivating but doesn’t seem to make a difference. See what you can do.

How are you getting on?
October 27, 2017 at 9:26 am #869484Hi,
The site is using an old version of the header.php file. Please get a copy of the file from the parent theme folder then override the one in the child theme.

IsmaelNovember 9, 2017 at 11:19 am #874592Hi I have two more problems.
On the mobile version of my site the menu is not appearing. I have changed every setting imaginable including trying burger icon etc and nothing appears on my iPhone? I have tried safari and chrome.
I made a colour change on the header and the site when first loaded shows the original colour then quickly changes. Is this being cached for some reason?

November 10, 2017 at 7:19 am #875046Hi,
The mobile menu is displaying properly and the page is responsive. Could you provide a screenshot of the issue? Use imgur or dropbox.

on iPhone there is no menu, there is no point sending you a screen shot. I have verified with two iphones one on wifi, one on 3g and two browsers safari and chrome.
Question. Victoria said the following code is preventing the menu from appearing (in her last post) Which file is it located in?
@media only screen and (max-width 767px)
.main-menu .avis-menu ( (index) :12
display: none;November 10, 2017 at 10:01 am #875079many thanks
November 10, 2017 at 10:03 am #875080here is a link to the screen shot. https://www.dropbox.com/s/r5ncx5cukvcx02g/iphone.jpg?dl=0
November 13, 2017 at 4:33 am #875929Hi,
Please remove the phone’s browser cache. This is how the site actually looks.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 13, 2017 at 11:44 am #876042Thanks Ismael.
I actually did that in safari. Then I downloaded chrome, never used before.
I have had it verified by two other iPhone users this morning. There is no menu.
What phone and system did you use? Any other suggestions?
November 15, 2017 at 5:18 am #876909Hi,
I can’t see the mobile menu again. Did you enable the “autooptimize” plugin again? Please disable the minification settings because it’s breaking the theme’s layout.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .main_menu .avia-menu { display: none; } }
The minified css code above hides the mobile menu.

IsmaelNovember 15, 2017 at 9:47 am #876985Ismael
I had not reactivated it, however I have solved the problem
I had to deactivate Wp omptimizte, smush and fastest cache and the menu then appeared. I have re activated those 3 and the menu now stays in place. However if I activate auto optimize it disappears.
November 15, 2017 at 9:47 am #876986is there a line of code I can put in so that I can use auto optimize? or any solution you can recommend?
many thanks for your help.
November 16, 2017 at 6:19 am #877380Hi,
Please try the plugin settings that @Arnold provided in the following thread.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 16, 2017 at 11:19 am #877448Great Ismael you’ve been a big help 5**
One more question.
I am not happy with the design and thinking of ditching it in favour of an enfold demo theme. Any links or advice on how I can bring the demo theme in to test without messing up my existing site? Can I have two themes one activate one in draft mode?
