Hi, I’ve run a few SEO checks on my website and it keeps showing up that my alt tags are missing, I checked the page source and the alt text is missing but I have entered alt text in the media section so i don’t know why its not showing – examples below.
Thanks!
Hey B,
Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

details below, thanks!
Hi,
If you go and edit the text block you have added the image to then you will see that the alt tag is empty:
<img class="aligncenter wp-image-1781" title="PMG Ford and Mazda Whangarei" src="https://pacificmotorgroup.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_4295-705x470-1.jpg" alt="" width="350" height="233" />
Please try to add it from the gallery again or fill out the alt tag in the markup.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
I’ve fixed that one but there are still several other images that are showing as missing alt tags for example the four images on the homepage under this heading
Northland’s Largest Used Vehicle Yard
They are all showing as missing alt tags but in the library they all have alt tags added
Hi,
Ok, but when they were added to your text blocks they likely didn’t have that. You have added the images manually to text blocks and they won’t auto-update if you only change things in the library.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
I’m not sure I understand? I don’t see anywhere that I can add alt text to these images? (they are not added through a text block) I entered the alt text as at the same time that the images were uploaded to the website
Hi B ,
Please give us a specific example of where it is happening.

Victoria
