Hello Again,
I am creating this new post becasue I think my previous one under different subject got missed and also I do not want to mix things up ;)So, I am considering buying enfold again, this time to set up my own website because I love the way your Minimal Portfolio layout is made. I have made a fresh WP instal and gave it a try, but for some reason it does import only the graphics and post contents but not the whole layout and its style which is the most important for me…Please have a look at thelink below in private content… Such things as page layouts, slider and headers look completely different (it seems as in the default demo), also the portfolio posts have not been imported, nor it’s layout and the font is different too…
Do you know what might be wrong here ? I did it twice (reuploaded the theme via ftp again/reinstaled wp) and it was all times like that… It looks as the demo files are incomplete, especially because the downloading process takes very little time comparing it to other demos imports… Are you sure you have it all in the lates version (I have uploaded the newset one from my TF account before this try)…
I’d love to but Enfold again but I do not want to spend hours figuring out how you didi it on Minimal Portfolio, so I’d appreciate your help in figuring out how to download the whole dummy contnet including all layouts and styles… Maybe you could log to my admin and try to do it… but as I mentioned before, I did it two times and the result was always the same :(

Edit the page and set the layout to no sidebar in the page options. You can also remove the title bar in the page options or have it hidden by default in Dashboard > Enfold > Header > Header Title & Breadcrumbs.

ElliottOk, but that was not my point… The above solution still leaves me with different slider (I am not able to set it the way you did in demo) different fonts and no portfolio post :(
I really hoped for a fix here and to be able to download the whole demo. Can you check if the problem is not on your site. I see that I am not the only one expereicing this… What is the point of providing a demo if it can not be downloaded exactly the same as in the preview?

pawelI am now 100% sure that the problem is caused by your DEMO IMPORT function in Enfold.
I have tried your different demos and they imported completetly including contents and styles. The only one which is not is this MINIMAL PORTFOLIO which I acctually really need :(
BTW, It’s installation takes only few seconds (few times faster than other demos), so this also may indicate that it’s dummy content might be incoplete…Please fix this issue asap and let us know… It’s becoming quite urgent now…

I have downloaded MINIMAL PORTFOLIO demo in Enfold options and this time it took the aproptioate amount of time, downloaded the portfolio posts but still it does not look like the demo, it has different slider, headers, page layouts and fonts which will result in a lot of work to create it the same way you have… so my problem with importing this demo is still unsolved :(Plese let mek now once you find a fix for this.

this is the case here, not the debuger itslef…
it would be great if I could achieve this by simply dowloading the demo (I guess this is its purpose), but for some reason it does not work
I really need to have the same look and feel as in the demo… doing it manualy will be guess and try, no time for this :(

Isn’t the original point that the structure (header, footer etc) is mis-matched? When I import this template I see exactly the same. For me the content is workable, but the structure is no where near the online demo.
Seems the basics need tidied up before anything else.Cheers!

Still not even playing the same game as this.
The more I look at this demo the more I want it too. So let me jump on the bandwagon and ask you to fix the demo import!

@ StevenDonaldson yes, this is the case form the very begining, I’ve been trying to get some help for about a week or so and in my opinion it looks as the download files are corrupted or some of it is missing, especially that the demo download takes like 2 sec. while other demos take up to 30 sec. to be downloaded…
I changed the shortcode and unfortunatelly it does not work for me at all :(

Alterantively, maybe you are able to send me the import files so I can Import Theme Settings ?@deftone I just created a new page then copied and pasted the shortcodes from here to there.
I selected the Text input rather than Visual for safety.
@deftone I am not sure the files are corrupt. More likely incomplete. A couple of tweaks in the Enfold options brings the header a little more inline, but there are still parts missing.
Hopefully someone who knows better will come along and fix it all?!

a lot of elements and styling needs to be changed to achieve the demolike look and I will probably manege it by myslef later, but this is not the same as importing demo which would save a lot of time…it would be great if Kriesi checked the import files (rather not the dummy content, but all the settings) and distribute it again because all other themes import exaclty as they are shown on the demo page…

@deftone It’s not difficult to make any page look like any other page using “right-click > Inspect Element” or equivalent to access the styles on the page you want; but this is time consuming.
For the rest of this year my free time is limited so a one click wonder would be my preference too.
Fingers crossed for a fix. There are a few of us wanting it.
