Hi there,
I want to migrate one of my websites to another hosts. My issues is that from one host it will expire 1 September and my new host is on holidays and told me they will give me hosting space after 1 September, therefore I am afraid that I won’t have enough time to test and play around.
Initially I was backing up with UpdraftPlus (free version), but then saw on some Youtube videos that is seems to be much easier to use the All-in-One WP Migration plugin.
I just was wandering if this would plugin would export the Enfold theme as well. If not would I need to to download it again and go through the steps as per you link https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. I was using a child theme before as well. I will need to refresh my mind on how to find puchase code, token etc as well if so..
I also have exported the Theme Settings File & Layout Builder Templates as I am not sure if I should do this and then import them in order to have the same layout. I do not really rember which template I have selected.I just saw also at then on your article that I need to do backup below:
Backup WordPress database.
Backup custom post types.
Backup theme files if you have added any modifications or custom functions.
Backup theme settings.
Backup widgets.Do I need to do this manually as well or would the pulgin do the job?
Can you please assist and let me know. As already mentioned the issue is that I will not have the time to test it on both servers, just need to have a backup and just upload everthing next month.

Hi Vasilis,
UpdraftPlus and/or All-in-One WP Migration plugin does similar things and that is to backup your site then restore it anywhere (same site or another).
It does include everything from the theme you are using, plugins to theme settings, etc.
Basically everything is similar except the host where you planned to migrate it.
I would suggest doing it now while you have more time.

my host did assist on time and I migrated the the website.
Just as a feedback:
Even though the file with All in one WP Migration was 275MB, when I tried uploading it on the new host it was always at 33.52% and then my IP was somehow blocked and I could not load the new host and I had to restart my pc. I tried three times.
In the end I used UpdraftPlus which uploads the website in parts and it worked fine. And from what I can see it the token seems to be fine as well (pasting in private area)
