We have a bilingual website that we have decided to break into two separate websites based on language. We have decided to do a clean install for each, to avoid remnants of WPML. We will buy a second license for Enfold. What I am looking for in the way of support is the fastest and easiest way to have all the theme work we’ve done get carried over to the new clean installs of WordPress.
I tried a test on a dev server. I uploaded Enfold and then imported the theme file. Things were still pretty much a bit of a mess. Do I have to next go and manually make all the settings in the theme options match the website we are cloning? I was hoping the theme settings import file would do that but apparently it doesn’t.
Hey beverlystone,
You should only have to export the settings from the theme backend, then import them to the new site. If they don’t apply straight away then you might have to toggle a setting or two and then save again in order to regenerate the CSS. Also make sure that you don’t have file compression active under Enfold->Performance. If you do then please select to delete the old CSS and JS files on the same page. If you still can’t get it to work then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

Rikard
Perfect! Thank you. I will try this soon.
