    Hello,
I like to use the Meow lightbox to show Exif data of photo’s. I found a post from 2020 in this forum, but cannot get it to work. It works with images on a page, but not with Masonry gallery on portfolio items.
I added .av-masonry-image-container to Meow lightbox selector. It works (a bit) now with masonry on pages, but not on portfolio items. But with pages it uses two lightbox’s. First it opens the standard lightbox and as second overlay the Meow lightbox.

What do I have to add to get the Meow lightbox working with Masonry gallery on portfolio items it working?
(or alternative: how can I show the exif data with a lightbox?)

    Hey HenkN,
To not have double lightboxs please disable the theme lightbox at Enfold Theme Options ▸ Lightbox Modal Window
For the portfolio item try the class av-masonry-item-with-image
The background image for the portfolio item uses av-masonry-image-container, but you said that was not working for the portfolio items.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Thanks for your quick reply!
double lightbox was a mistake from my side: indeed, Enfold lightbox was still enabled.
    Situation now:
Meow lightbox works with the Masonry gallery on pages.
Meow lightbox does not work on Masonry gallery on portfolio page. Meow also doesn’t work on single images on pages.
As selector I use the following classes:
    .av-masonry-image-container, .av-masonry-item-with-image, .entry-content, .gallery, .mgl-gallery, .wp-block-gallery, .wp-block-image
    As anti-selector:
    .archive, .emoji, .attachment-post-image, .no-lightbox

It now opens the images as full screen image.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

We checked the site and can confirm that the lightbox is not working. However, we didn’t find any errors upon inspecting, so we are not sure why or what’s missing. We may need to log in to the site in order to further check the issue. Please provide the login details in the private field.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

We tried to adjust the lightbox selectors and temporarily disable the compression settings but it didn’t help. What is the name of the script used by the plugin to initialize the lightbox? We can’t seem to find it in the document. Although, we did find a script called “thickbox”, which is also a lightbox or modal script, and it might be interfering or conflicting with the Meow plugin. Please contact the plugin author for additional assistance.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Yes, I need a some further help.
    It’s working more or less.
On a portfoliopage when I sellect flexible Masonry it works. But with Masonry perfect grid, it doesn’t work.
    Any reason why?

    Hi,
It looks like your lightbox plugin is not recognizing the class for the masonry image, but above it looks like you added all of the correct classes.
I tried to login and check the classes but you have F2A enabled so I couldn’t, please disable so we can examine closer.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

It’s possible that the lightbox doesn’t work when Perfect Grid is enabled because the plugin requires an actual image or img element. When Perfect Grid is enabled, the images of the masonry items are applied as background through inline css style, not as an img element. You may need to adjust the masonry settings.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
