Hello,
I have a problem with the menu underlining. I have a red underlining, and when you go into the sub-pages, there is a red background. The red background is ok, but the underlining is chaotic. Please have a look on my website and try out. I did not find a solution how to repair this. Thanks in advance.

VictoriaJune 28, 2020 at 2:01 pm #1226210Hello Victoria,
i want to explain more exactly: My website see “private content” – When you go with the mouse pointer to HOME, there is a red underlining under HOME. Then go with the mouse to “Über uns”, and the red underlining is not only under “Über uns”, but also under HOME and PROJEKTE and under a part of “SPENDEN”. Then go with the mouse to PROJEKTE, and then to SPENDEN, and you will see that the red underlining is very chaotic.
The goal is that the underlining (or a red box like it is shown when I am going with the mouse pointer to a sub-category) is only on the place where I am with the mouse.

I emptied the cache, and it is still the same. I tried with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Can you please make a screencast of the issue?

VictoriaJuly 8, 2020 at 7:03 am #1228770Hello Victoria,
maybe I have not described the problem good. It is the mouse-over effect. When I go with the mouse over the header menu, there is a red underlining, and the underlining should be at the page where I am with the mouse. But it is not consistent. Please try at my website with the PC, not with mobile phone. On mobile or tablet it is not relevant.
July 13, 2020 at 6:10 am #1229841Hi Andreas,
Sorry for the late reply. I just wanted to make sure that I understand your intentions correctly; you want the active page indicate to disappear when hovering over other menu items, right? If so then that is not how the theme works by default, but we will try to find a solution for you. If we can’t then I think you will have to live with this behaviour.
Please reply to this thread so that it gets added back to our support queue.

RikardJuly 13, 2020 at 8:24 am #1229866Hello Rikard,
please try for yourself: Go into https://wordpress.uppahar.de/ – then go with the mouse over the main menu: HOME – ÜBER UNS – PROJEKTE – SPENDEN – NEWS – KONTAKT. You can see that the red underline is where the mouse is. But this is only correct at SPENDEN, at NEWS and at KONTAKT. The underline is not correct when I go with the mouse from HOME to ABOUT US and to PROJECTS. Then there is a double underlining. Also the underline under HOME does not go away, even if I am somewhere else with the mouse. Is that correct? I think it is a programming error or a wrong setting.July 13, 2020 at 8:26 am #1229867PS: You write that the active page is still underlined when I move the mouse. This is OK, I can accept this behaviour. Only the problem with the double-underlining (see above) should be checked.
July 13, 2020 at 11:08 am #1229894Hi,
Actually, that is also intentional. Submenu items have top border. For better understanding, I moved submenu down a bit using browser developer tools and hovered on “Über uns” menu item. Please see screenshot in private content field :)

YigitJuly 13, 2020 at 2:02 pm #1229948Hello Yigit,
look how the underlining looks like at my screen (see private link in content field, it is a link to my OneDrive Cloud). Then you see what I mean.July 13, 2020 at 7:55 pm #1230086Hi AndreasWinkler,

VictoriaJuly 13, 2020 at 8:02 pm #1230093Now the underlining is consistant. I think this is OK now. I have not done anything. I think your colleague has modified something. So I think it is ok now. ;-)
