Hi there,
I would like to add a menu item that doesnt open a page.
For example for my website: I want to add conditions, if hovering over conditions I want this to show:
Shoulder
Elbow
Wrist / hand
Hip
Knee
Ankle /footNone of these menu items link to a page but when you hover or click any of the body parts it will then show a list of conditions next to ech body part i.e (shoulder: Subacromial bursitis, rotator cuff tear, Frozen shoulder). All these items have their individual page.
Would you mind taliking me through the steps to take to achieve this?

You should be able to achieve that if you add the top level links as custom links, and then only add a # to the URL field, then add the sub level links under each top level link.
Best regards,

Thanks for that tip. I have now done that and it works as hoped. However (please could see see the link on my home page called conditions).
I can do this for all body parts and they cant be selected but the submenu conditions will be selectable.
However the top level menu (conditions) I would like that page to show either a light box or another notification that pops up and shows a list of conditions treated. So that this page actually has a purpose.
How do I do that? I have both inserted masonry and normal portfolio for the options but I am not sure how i can configure that. (please see the link of another website (link 2 in the private box) that has this exact feature just for reference)
Thank you for your help.
September 8, 2020 at 4:21 am #1244139Hi,
Thanks for the update and sorry for the late reply. If you want to open a page in lightbox then you would have to use a URL like this:
<a href="http://kriesi.at/?iframe=true" rel="lightbox">Click me to open in lightbox</a>
Add lightbox in the link Relationship (XFN) field under the menu item in question. If you can’t see that field then please select to show it under Screen Options in the top right hand corner under Appearance->Menus.
Best regards,
