Our menu keeps losing it’s styling. Can anyone help?
It seems to happen when i’m adding pages to the menu. I can get the styling back by re-selecting that menu as the main menu, but after a few changes to the pages in the menu it loses the styling again.
Please help

March 10, 2015 at 9:18 pm #409099Hey markgibbons243!
I checked your link and it looks like the problem is that your menu is displaying all of your pages instead of the specific menu you have created, is that correct?
Make sure that when your editing your menu that the “Enfold Main Menu” option is checked and save.
Cheers!

Thank you so much for you swift reply!
Yes thats exactly whats happening, but for some reason it keeps unchecking itself everytime I move or add a page to the menu. I’ve started a new menu from scratch to see if that made any difference and it only seems to do it when there’s lots of pages on there.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

March 10, 2015 at 10:33 pm #409581I’ve just tried to re-check the box and every time do that and press Save Menu it just reverts back to the tick box being unchecked.

March 12, 2015 at 7:27 am #410332Hi!
Did you install a different theme before Enfold? Try to create a dummy menu then set it as Enfold Main Menu, let us know what happens.
Cheers!
IsmaelMarch 12, 2015 at 11:19 am #410394Hi Ismael,
No it was the first theme. I’ve tried a couple of dummy menues and get the same thing. I’ve also tried it on another server that I run (totally seperate and not connected in any way – other than the hosting provider which is 1&1) and the same thing happens. I get to about 65 menu items, if I add anymore if doesnt save them.
March 13, 2015 at 5:03 pm #411116Hey!
It sounds like your running into a limit with your server. I would try contacting them and show them the code Yigit provided, https://kriesi.at/support/topic/menu-not-picking-up-styling/#post-409781, to make sure you did it correctly. Or ask if they have any idea on what it could be.
Also try increasing the max_input_vars.
php_value max_input_vars 3000

April 13, 2015 at 9:21 am #427364Hi all,
We’ve finally managed to fix the problem. It seemed to be something to do with the WordPress installer ‘Tool’ from 1&1 (our hosting provider). We basically started from scratch and manually installed WordPress on the server, without using the tool and now everything works fine.
As always, thank you for your help!
