Hi!
I tried quite a few times to put in my request. My menu items are not linking to pages and there seems to be no hand cursor showing up on the front end In the back end, when I am trying to add pages to menu navigation, it says pending and turn into link item. Please respond!
Thanks,
ArchanaAugust 15, 2024 at 7:17 pm #1464717Hey archana,
You have added custom links to your menu, but not given them any links. Please add pages from the sidebar on the left under Appearance->Menus if you want to add pages to your menu.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 15, 2024 at 7:34 pm #1464718Hi Rikard!
I am adding pages to the menu, when I click on it to add, it gets added gives a pending name and the turns into link. All the menu items looks like links not pages. that is the issue here. Thanks,
ArchanaAugust 16, 2024 at 1:19 am #1464734Hi,
Thanks, I have not seen this before, it looks like a plugin conflict, I see an error at the top of your page:It looks like there may be a problem with the dsIDXpress that’s installed on this blog. Please take a look at the dsIDXpress diagnostics area to find out more about any potential issues
and an on “dsIDXpress diagnostics” page it says that the plugin is not active
so try deactivating your plugins, them build your menu, and if that works activate your plugins again.Best regards,
MikeAugust 16, 2024 at 4:29 am #1464739Hi Mike,
Thanks for responding! On a staging site I have completely deactivated the plugins and tried building the menu as you have mentioned. But still, when I add a page for the navigation it says pending and turns into custom link instead of the page name.
Regarding the dsIDxpress, that banner has been there for since it’s activation. We have listings that come through it.
The menu not working is very mind boggling to me!Archana
August 16, 2024 at 4:41 am #1464740Also, after I updated the theme, all my images are gone and I had to resave them again. The links to the images also I had to keep re doing it.
August 16, 2024 at 9:23 am #1464758Hi,
Thanks for the update. Could you give us access to your staging site so that we can have a look at it please?
Best regards,
RikardAugust 16, 2024 at 3:11 pm #1464779Hi Rikard,
I have put the staging site info below. All the images were wiped out too after the update. I need to do the image saving as media library is working (at least that’s not a problem!)Also, on my live site – I am using full width sub menu as the main menu is not working. So Surprised that everything works but not the main menu, when you click on the logo, it takes you to home page but the main nav is very frustrating for me as the menu items are not being saved as pages instead as custom links.
August 17, 2024 at 10:20 pm #1464839Hi,
Thanks for the link to your staging site, I note that each time I try to add a menu item they are always “custom links” instead of normal menu items.
I see that your child theme has a header.php file, please remove this and then check again.Best regards,
MikeAugust 20, 2024 at 12:55 am #1464939Hi Mike,
I removed the file, header.php and still the menus behaves the same as custom links.
I will put in SFTP login info below also.
If the menu is not working, I might have to move away from this theme unfortunately!
Thanks,
ArchanaAugust 20, 2024 at 9:34 am #1464953Hi,
The behaviour is the same when I activate Divi that you have installed as well, except that the menu item does now show up as pending. This is not a theme problem as we cannot reproduce it, and we’ve had no other user with the same problem either. Please try to install another theme and check the behaviour with that as well.
Best regards,
Rikard -
