Menu item styling and color

hi, please see client site: http://www.lobsterme.com

we have changed the header background to dark wood background, and i changed all the menu item colors to #ffffff but it still shows inactive menu elements as black. any idea why?

also, is there a way to change the font styling for the menu items? e.g. change the font?

EDIT: i found why the menu font was staying black – it was an older custom CSS entry i had – deleted it, it is now white. great!
but any help on menu font styling would be great. thank you!
