Hi all,
First of all, thanks for the amazing theme. Everything is adjustable, and easy, great!
But I have a problem with the menu, I have made one menu named ‘Main Menu’. I can choose this menu in the settings ‘Enfold Main Menu’, then I also see it in the preview. But once I click save, it jumps back to -select- and there is no change to the website whatsoever.
Can someone help me? Thank you in advance. The link to the website: http://www.vloer-coaten.nl/wordpress
Kind regards,
Ronald

I can see your menu in the backend, you only have one. Do you want to create another one? If so, you can do so under Weergave–>Menu’s.
Best regards,

Yes, I have one menu. But this is not the menu showed on the website. If I adjust the menu, it wil not be showed on the website. I have also tried to make another menu, en choose this one, but without any effect.
Do you know what the problem is?

I got the same error message when I went to Appearance–>Customize, did you change anything in your functions.php file? And you are correct, your menu from the backend is not displaying and it’s not possible to save it properly.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 26, 2015 at 12:21 pm #402603Hi Rikard,
The plugin BBPress was causing this error. I have deactivited the plugin. But it did’n solve the menu issue. I did’nt change anything to functions.php.
I don’t know what to do next. Do you have any idea?

What kind of hosting are you using? You wrote earlier that you had added a user.ini file although it’s PHP.ini which needs to be changed. Could you please contact your hosting and get them to change it for you? Please read this again: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-custom-menu-items-limit-in-wordpress/
Cheers!
RikardFebruary 27, 2015 at 10:29 am #403289Hi Rikard,
The website hosting is at http://www.hostnet.nl. I’ve had contact with them about this issue. They told me it was not possible to edit PHP.ini, therefore I had to use .user.ini. They told me it had the same effect. If I choose another theme, the menu does work. So therefore I think it has something to do with the enfold theme. Is there another option I can try?

Have you tried to re-install WordPress? Please get a fresh copy of wp then override the old files. A few users have this issue and most of the time, a quick re-install of wp fixed it.

IsmaelMarch 9, 2015 at 10:42 pm #408521Hi Ismael,
I have just reïnstalled wordpress completely. If I choose the enfold theme, ik can’t change the menu. But, if I use the twenty fifteen theme, everything works fine. I don’t know what to do next. Any ideas? I’m thinking about getting a new theme.

it’s fixed now, you uploaded the whole Themeforest package to wp-content/themes and that caused some issues when the theme tried to save the menu setting in the database.
