    Hi!

    My site is: FrugalConfessions.com

Yesterday I created menu drop downs in my header…and I need help with two things.

The first is I can’t seem to figure out how to change the color when you hover your mouse. Even though I’ve tried to change it in Enfold’s general styling, AND, in my appearance under menus. In fact, yesterday, I successfully changed it…then I woke up and it’s back to white (so it whites out the font, which is white.

Also, I need to increase the font in the header menu options.

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Amanda

    Hi Amanada,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Please go to Enfold theme options > Advanced Styling and edit “Main Menu sublevel Links” element and increase font size. Then add one more “Main Menu sublevel Links” element and check “Apply only to mouse hover state” to change hover state colors. It should look like this – https://imgur.com/a/KFqHRbW :)

Thanks so much! Unfortunately the imgur doesn’t show up (it’s blank when I go to it).

Also, I changed the Main Menu – Sub Level Links to a navy blue font color, and a white background color (actually, left this box blank, which is white). Then I cleared the cache of my homepage…and it’s still the same way.

I clicked to apply to hover, and it looks like the styling that shows up when I hover over is the styling that is in General Styling for Logo Header area (a light blue background).

I wish I could send you screenshots to show you the back end of how I have it set up. That would be helpful.

    Hi,

Thanks for screenshots! It seems like you set hover state for sub menu items and initial state for main menu items. If you would like to edit sub menu items’ initial state and main menu items’ hover state, you can simply add one more “Main Menu sublevel Links” and “Main Menu Links” items then check “Apply only to mouse hover state” in “Main Menu Links” after adjusting hover colors.

If i understood you correctly, this should do it, but if i did not, please post a screenshot showing the result you would like to achieve :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Drats — I have this same theme on my other blog, MoneyProdigy.com, and I’m having trouble with it over there now. For some reason it’s a lilttle different.

Here’s a screenshot of one problem I’m having (when I scroll down and hover over a sub level menu link, the main menu link disappears).

The next problem I’m having is that the sub level menu font won’t change to larger. Here’s where I have that filled out:

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

1- It seems like you have changed your menu so i could not see the issue on your site. Could you please re-create the issue and post WP admin logins here privately so we can look into it? :)

2- You checked “Apply only to mouse hover state” so it should only increase the font size on hover state and i think it is working as “Money Conversation Guide” menu item is slightly larger than others. You can simply edit “Main Menu sublevel Links” and set font size there and not check “Apply only to mouse hover state”.

    Hi!

I was able to change the font size in the sub level menu – thanks for that.

I did keep changing the menu, but the same issue is still there where if I hover over the main menu, then scroll down to hover over sub menu links, that main menu font turns green and I can’t see it (to be honest, I don’t know why when I hover over the main menu categories, a green box shows up).

I’ll put log in info below – thanks.

P.S. I like the green boxes when I hover over the main menu links; however, the font for the main menu links would have to change to white then for us to see it still maybe? Not sure.

    Hi,

It seems like you have manually entered “Main Menu Links” color value as there was one extra letter in color field. Hex color values are 6 digit only. Please review your website :)

    Yes I am manually inputting.

    Many thanks for your help!
