I have enabled and can see description boxes under the menu titles in the dashboard – but when I enter the description and upload I cannot see them when I view the page.
Thanks

Please forward us a link to your page you need to customise. Additionally, for us to have a better understanding of your requirements, please forward us a mock up or screenshot of the type of modification you wish to achieve.
You can also try disable all third-party plugins to see if the issue gets fixed. 90% of the time, issues are caused by conflicting code from third party plugins. Disabling these plugins one by one and checking if this helps sort the issue helps pin-point the exact source of the issue.
If disabling any third party plugins does not help, please forward us administrative credentials to your site for us to have a closer look.

ArvishOctober 11, 2014 at 2:09 pm #334311Hi Arivsh, I am working locally to build the site in Enfold – I have the Corona site live. It occurs to me that the problem may be that I set the padding to 0 so that the top menu would be flush (close) to the accordian below it. But I cannot remember how I did that or where the padding configuration settings are to try to change that. Please let me know where I would find the padding control to add some more space under the main menu. Thanks.
October 11, 2014 at 8:55 pm #334390I read online that to show the description in the main menu requires the Walker function coding – I thought turning on Descriptions in the menus screen options would be enough in Enfold but maybe that is not the case?
October 11, 2014 at 9:39 pm #334396Hi!
The steps to add descriptions below the menu are described in this post.

Please let us know if thus works out for you.

ArvishOctober 11, 2014 at 10:04 pm #334402Thanks Arvish. That was the post I had located also. I am considering trying this but I am wondering – if I modify the function.php and header.php files – if I update the theme in the future will the update overwrite those php files? In other words, will I need to redo this manually with every update of the theme?

ScottOctober 12, 2014 at 7:17 am #334450Hey!
You can use a child theme to make custom changes.
Download the child theme here http://bit.ly/enfold-child
Here is a video link to creating one: http://vimeo.com/67221517
Before activating your child theme, you can export your Enfold theme options settings. Import to the Enfold child theme options when done activating. A child theme will ensure that your customized files are not over-written during updates.
