    dear all,
i love the anchor link effect – which softly points to a place within a page. an i really want to use this effect on my page.
    and here is the problem:
i created several web pages on my website as one-pager but created a sub menu with equivalent headlines. therefore i used anchor links. so when the visitor clicks on the sub menu XY the page scrolls smoothly down to the desired chapter. the problem is: when the visitor is on an other web page of my website and clicks on the sub menu XY nothing happens. instead the visitor has to click first on the main menu page to be able to click on the sub menu XY with this nice scroll-effect.

so my question is: is there any way to solve this problem. or must i – for the sake of usability – manage the submenu without the anchor links.

i hope you understand my request. i am looking forward to your feedback!

    kind regards,
    mihaela

    Hi!

You can try using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/zen-menu-logic/ to display different menus per page

hi yigit! thank you for your answer. but i’m not sure how to use this plugin correctly. and it seems that even you are not quite sure if this plugin could solve my problem. so as i don’t want to risk a bad scenario on my website I’d rather wait for another solution or choose to setup the sub menu without the anchor links.

but actually i don’t want to display a different menu on my pages. maybe you did not really understood my concern?!..
    kind regards,

    Hey!

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

It looks like you resolved the issue on your end by adding direct anchor links to your submenu.

    Best regards,
    Dake
