Hello, we are trying to display a large mega menu however we want to know how we can have more than one menu section with it’s own header within the same column.
Please reference the image link below for reference
Thank you!
November 23, 2015 at 11:04 pm #541245Hi tlchase!
use a mega menu and add your two columns into it. For the second column activate “This column should start a new row”.
Cheers!
AndyNovember 23, 2015 at 11:15 pm #541257Thank you for your prompt reply however I am trying to have 2 headings within the same column AND the same row. Please reference attached image. As you can see, the attached image already has additional rows however we are trying to maximize the same for each column to also avoid so many rows and white space in between (as shown in the image)
Thank you
November 24, 2015 at 1:07 pm #541548Hi!
yes, I know, I have seen your screenshot. Just follow my instructions and it should work. Send us admin access, if you can’t do it yourself and we take a look.

AndyNovember 24, 2015 at 5:51 pm #541827Hello Andy, my apologies if you received my previous email but I couldn’t tell if it went through. We are using the Research Services as the mega menu and what is displayed on the image is the Research Services mega menu. As in the previous image, we don’t want the Budget & Cost Analysis on the next row, we want it right below the Proposal Preparation section but within the same box/column/row that Proposal Preparation is in.
Images below show the menu item in the next row and menu edit screen

December 1, 2015 at 10:42 am #545036Hi!
website link does not work for me. I get redirected to “Zugriff verweigert!” and error 403. Please check and let us know when you are ready.
Cheers!
AndyDecember 1, 2015 at 4:55 pm #545372That is odd. Please reference screenshot of the site with address below.
Thanks
December 2, 2015 at 4:58 am #545721Hi,
I’m getting the same error as Andy, maybe you have a security plugin activated? http://imgur.com/sj5Kl6n

AndyJanuary 31, 2017 at 2:45 pm #740651Hi, I have the same problem as above – did this ever get resolved?
I am using the mega menu but would like to know if there is a way to start a new row in the second column? As it is, if I select “start a new row” it puts it underneath all of the columns. If you look at this screen grab of the website I am working on https://goo.gl/photos/bnDwNdaR4Dja5Dzm7 as you see there is a lot of white space in column 2 and 3 which I would prefer to fill. I would like to put “Amtico Vinyl Flooring” and “Flooring extras” in column 2 underneath Haro wood flooring. Is this possible?
Thanks
Sarah
February 2, 2017 at 6:35 am #741569Hi Sarah,
Could you post a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 8, 2017 at 3:46 pm #744385Hi Rikard, the site is not live yet/viewable to public. To give you an example though – , if you look at the mega menu on http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/ – how would you put “Single Product Examples” section into column 1 so it is directly underneath the “Overview” section where the white space is? I dont want it as a as a new row underneath all of the columns.
Thanks Sarah
February 13, 2017 at 6:35 pm #746557Hi,
define “Shop” as a mega menu, then add “Single Product Examples” underneath it and use it as a column. Then add “Default Product” and use it as a page. Watch this tutorial: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/setting-up-your-mega-menu/
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 20, 2017 at 1:10 pm #749297Hi Andy,
Thanks for your reply but i’m not sure you understand my message. I already know how to add the mega menu but what I would like to do is the following: (I will use the enfold shop demo again as an example)Column 1
Overview
Shop Overview
Features Overview
Single Product Examples
Default product
Custom product 1
Custom product 2Column 2
Women
General
Casual
Business
Packages
SportColumn 3
Men
General
Casual
Business
Packages
SportCan you put the info from column 4 into column 1 so that it is below the info that is already in column 1? (but not as a new row as this will sit under all the columns, I want it as part of the same column) Does this make sense?
What I am trying to do with the website I am designing is fill the white space where I have some columns that don’t have many page links. see picture here https://goo.gl/photos/bnDwNdaR4Dja5Dzm7 column 1 has lots of page links but column 2 and 3 don’t have many page links so there is a lot of white space which doesn’t look right.
Thanks Sarah
February 20, 2017 at 5:00 pm #749464Hi,
if https://goo.gl/photos/bnDwNdaR4Dja5Dzm7 is not what you want, what do you want instead? can you show us a mockup please?
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 20, 2017 at 8:50 pm #749565Hi Andy – good idea to suggest the mock up. Hopefully this will make sense in showing you what I would like to do – if you look at this here: https://goo.gl/photos/MJf3HaCAgTmE6NG19
Thanks Sarah
February 21, 2017 at 4:55 pm #750041Hi,
no idea what you want to achieve to be honest. Do you simply want to remove the menu items which you highlighted on your screenshot? actually this is not a mockup, as it does not show the final result. So not sure what you’re aiming for in the end.
If you want to remove those menu items then go into your WordPress menu and remove those menu items.Best regards,
AndyFebruary 21, 2017 at 5:19 pm #750057No Andy, I don’t want to remove the menu items! The menu items I have crossed out in red simply indicate that I don’t want them there but I want to move them up to where I have placed them in the 2nd column – this was the quickest way to reply to your message by drawing on on the screen grab and copy and pasting the menus items into the 2nd column. I cant understand what you are not understanding? Can you not see that I have moved “Amtico Vinyl Flooring” from the 3rd column to the 2nd column and “Flooring Extras” from the bottom row into the 2nd column?
This is how the menu is at the moment as per image in my first message – https://goo.gl/photos/8zSdaxBPuSuFrz5s6
And now I have drawn on it again to try and show you better. This is what I want to do, i want to move them into the 2nd col – https://goo.gl/photos/hv13hV9AbCMQsFZe6

February 21, 2017 at 7:23 pm #750123Hi,
simply activate “This columns should start a new row” when opening your column’s menu.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 21, 2017 at 7:39 pm #750134Andy, I have already tried this and it does not work in the way that I am asking. When selecting “This column should start a new row” this places a new row beneath ALL of the columns, and not a new row WITHIN the column. So as per the image I sent to you https://goo.gl/photos/hv13hV9AbCMQsFZe6 as you see “Flooring Extras” this is where I selected “This column should start a new row”. This does not put this in a new row in column 2 in the position that I have indicated in red.
February 24, 2017 at 3:53 pm #751451Hi,
it should work this way and if not then we really need admin login to be able to have a deeper look into it.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 24, 2017 at 9:12 pm #751595So I’m still having the same issue on our mega menu but to not confuse things further, I’ll use Sarah’s example:
-The menu should have a total of 1 row with 2 columns and a total of 4 titled sections:
1) Ted Todd Wood…, 2) Haro Wood…, 3) Amtico Vinyl…, 4) Flooring Extras-Column 1 contains Section 1) Ted Todd Wood which takes up all of column 1
-Column 2 needs to contain the remaining 3 sections
- one on top of the other
without creating a new row nor a new column since that would leave a large empty space after Section 2) Haro Wood if a new column or row is created for Section 3) Amtico Vinyl (same concept also shown on my original image from the first post of this thread and shown again below in private).
I updated Sarah’s image to show how it should look having all 4 sections in 1 row and 2 columns:
Hope this helps explain what Sarah (and I) are trying to accomplish when displaying menus…and hopefully I’m not off as to what Sarah is trying to accomplish.
Thanks!
February 27, 2017 at 3:10 pm #752290Hi,
again: it works the way I already explained. If it does not, then send us admin login, so we can have a deeper look into it. Remember to remove any caching.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 27, 2017 at 3:24 pm #752303tlchase – thanks for understanding me! Yes you have explained very well what I too am trying to accomplish. Andy, can you show us a website that uses the enfold theme and has a mega menu with multiple sections within one column as its clearly not working for me and tlchase doing what you have suggested.
Thanks Sarah
February 27, 2017 at 3:34 pm #752316Hi!
you can check our demos, for example: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/
If you can’t find any of the options you’re looking for, then I’m afraid it won’t be easily possible and you need to hire a freelance developer for any customizations you’re planning.Best regards,
AndyAugust 22, 2017 at 9:45 am #842383Hi,
+1 on this. So Andy if I’m understanding you correctly what we want to acheive isn’t possible?
Here’s a picture of my problem: https://www.screencast.com/t/frOsOo7FZH8x. Would like the dead space between “Funktionstjänster” and “Supporttjänster” removed so they are aligned right under each other.
August 25, 2017 at 9:24 am #843806Hi,
I’m sorry but that’s not possible without major modification in the theme. Please hire a freelance developer or contact our partner, Codeable.
