Hi there,
we have set up a mega-menu (without any plugin) and it worked nicely until some day without us not touching it (or at least not knowing it) completely blew up. Is there anything reported with a recent wordpress update or theme update? Since it bascially just came out of the blue.February 19, 2016 at 8:16 am #585900Hey flippingrocks,
Not sure what’s going on there, could you try deactivating all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please?
Best regards,

thanks for your help – I deactivated the plugins to see any conflict – could not find anything. I recreated the menu and hope for now that it is not going to crash on a regular basis, since I`m totally clueless why this happens.

Yes, I could recreate it and I hope it will not crash again. The only thing which could have caused the havoc I can think of is that I used some links in the menu and specified the link address as “www.example.com/#” ( I had to use the link as a subtitle in the menu – therefore a real address was not needed) – not sure if wp likes the # as an URL in the mneu. But this is just bad guessing.thanks

Adding a hashtag as url is fine. It’s probably a max_input_vars issue. See here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enfold-menu-item-limit/

thanks for your help -I´m not sure if is the number of menu-items – it hasn`t crashed ever since – I will start worrying again and try your settings if it crashes again – (hopefully not)February 25, 2016 at 10:51 am #588864Hey!
Yes, that can happen based on menu items, I have seen it before.
Please do let us know if you need anything else, we will be more than happy to help.Best regards,
