Currently running 3.8 version of the Enfold Theme on WordPress 4.61. Anytime we attempt to add or edit and image using the “media” element, the following error occurs when trying to retrieve an image.
“Error fetching content – please reload the page and try again.”this occurs in either Post or pages. I tried different web browsers and cleared the browser cache.
September 19, 2016 at 6:49 pm #688664Please note, I have already checked the PHP-memory settings and it is currently configured for 256 mb. The problem is still occurring.

September 20, 2016 at 7:53 pm #689496Hello?
September 21, 2016 at 3:28 pm #689868Hi,
i’m not really sure how this works, but it’s been two days and we haven’t heard from anyone. Please respond and let me know what we need to do to get this fixed. Thank you! :)September 23, 2016 at 2:33 pm #690752Hi,
does this issue happen with a default WP theme as well? Please deactivate all your plugins and check again. Provide us admin access here as private reply, so we can take a closer look if you still need help with this.
Best regards,
AndySeptember 28, 2016 at 3:00 pm #692708This doesn’t seem to be happening with the default theme, but I will provide you the login credentials so you can give it a look! The site is IP address locked though. Can you provide your IP address or should we just unlock it for the time being?
Thank you again!
September 28, 2016 at 4:07 pm #692774So you know specifically, when we turn off our woo commerce plugin, it seems to work fine. As soon as we enable the woocommerce plugin, we have the issue. But we have been running woo commerce for about a month with zero issues and this is a new problem, so we are at a loss.
Hopefully these additional details help. Thanks!
September 30, 2016 at 1:32 pm #693701Hi,
what about a link to your website? without it we can’t login …
Best regards,
AndySeptember 30, 2016 at 3:36 pm #693833I’ve provided the link privately. Thanks again! Also, We have been having issues with the footer widgets as well. We are trying to showcase just certain pages but all of the pages are displayed in the footer. And we also have not been able to just make a footer section blank. For example footer column four, I have removed all widgets from. And it still comes through as “Archives”. Please advise. Thanks so much!

I created a test page and could add an image from your media library without problem. So could you fix the issue already?
Best regards,
AndyOctober 14, 2016 at 3:00 pm #699159Andy,
The issues hasn’t been fixed on our end. Please go to the home page just called “home” and attempt to edit any of those main category images. Turn on the “advanced layout editor” that comes with the Enfold theme and use the “media element” tab to insert an image. I am still having the same issues.
Thank you!

October 16, 2016 at 2:23 pm #699597Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the explanation, you are getting a 500 internal error on a WordPress file:
http://yoursite.com/wp/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
Could you try contacting your hosting provider to see if they can see why that is happening? You could also try to deactivate all plugins to see if there is a conflict coming from any of them. Or you could try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Thanks,
RikardOctober 17, 2016 at 2:58 pm #700043So you were able to replicate the issue? And I have checked the plugins, if you read back in the previous posts i mentioned how deactivating woocommerce solves the issue, but woo commerce is owned by wordpress and works seamlessly with word press, so I believe this is more an issue of how the Enfold theme is interacting with woo commerce no?
October 18, 2016 at 4:12 pm #700732Hi,
No we haven’t been able to reproduce the error, and if this was an error in the relation between WooCommerce and the theme we would have hundreds of reports of it, so I’m pretty sure this is something local to your installation or server settings. Did you contact your host? If yes then did you get any feedback as to why you are getting a 500 error on the file in question?
Thanks,
RikardOctober 24, 2016 at 3:06 pm #703297Even if this was a local issue, why wouldn’t you be able to reproduce it on your end, as the images are hosted on our server either way? I have contacted my host and we are trying to trouble shoot at the moment. I am puzzled as to why you are unable to replicate the issue. Please remember, it only happens when adding the media element “image” from the drag and drop page editor. It does not happen when just clicking the “add media” button. ONLY with the drag and drop media image element.
Have you tried both ways? Thanks!
October 27, 2016 at 6:02 am #704662Hi,
The “admin-ajax.php” is probably being blocked by your server. Please ask your hosting provider to unblock it.
This is one of the responses from SO forum:
Yes finally the problem was that the hosting provider had blocked the admin-ajax.php file saying that this file was receiving too many request, and requests to this file bypasses cache , hence it was causing problems on server :)
So now i’ll have to ‘convince’ them to turn it back on.
Thank you all for helping..
Best regards,
