I noticed a few days ago the my media folder had various thumbnails missing but when i click to pull up the edit pan the image pulls up but won’t allow me to edit. I get an error: “Image data does not exist. Please re-upload the image.”
Then if I try re-upload I get an error “HTTP Error”
I changed the theme and everything works fine.

Make sure that the installation have sufficient memory to work with. Raise this issue to your your hosting provider and ask them to increase the memory limit to at least 128M. I’m sure they can give you more info why the upload process isn’t working.
