Hi…
I have a masonry with a lot of posts and I want to choose the ‘random’ option under ‘Order by’ menu. It does randomise my posts but what it also does is duplicating some of the posts so one post shows maybe 3 times another one maybe 2 times and the rest is ok.Is this a coding error? Bug? I guess the random function should randomise the order of how things are shown but not duplicate any of them.
You can see the problem when clicking ‘Load more’ on the first page here: soundsound.me
Any help will be appreciated! :)
Thanks!

Can we please check it live & also provide us a username / password on the private data, so we can login and check further?
Thanks a lot!

BasilisOctober 11, 2015 at 10:55 pm #517073Yes, just gave you the logins in the private field.
Also the main page the masonry is set to ‘random’ so it should show up with duplicated posts when you ‘Load more’ of the posts.
October 11, 2015 at 10:57 pm #517075It looks like it consistently duplicates one post 3 times and another 2 times… ???
October 13, 2015 at 12:36 am #517789Any news on this? Have you checked?
It looks like the randomise function takes in account at each ‘load more’ block as separate events and therefore choose 4 random posts from ALL posts each time the load more button is pushed.

refuse from bumping into your own thread, because it pushes it behind in our queue.
Try to deactivate all plugins, to see which one is causing this issue. I think “Duplicate Post Plugin” could be the reason for this issue.
Cheers!
AndyOctober 13, 2015 at 5:22 pm #518211Hi Andy
Tried deactivating the ‘duplicate post plugin’ and the problem still occurs (t’s still deactivated if you want to check).
I won’t deactivate the WPML plugins since the site needs to be working and your theme claims to be made for the WPML plugin so I don’t think that’s the problem.
Are there any ways of fixing this?
Cheers,
ToniOctober 14, 2015 at 1:58 pm #518653Hi!
what about WP Booklet plugin? you didn’t mention anything about it and it is still activated. Are we allowed to deactivate temporarily all your plugins but WPML by ourselves for testing purposes?
Are you using any custom code inside functions.php? or did you modify any theme files?Cheers!
AndyOctober 14, 2015 at 4:25 pm #518766Hi again :)
Thanks for looking into this!
I didn’t think of the booklet plugin since it looked like a WPML plugin at first glance – forgot that one. Yes, you are allowed to deactivate the plugins for testing, as long as you set everything back to how it was before :)
I haven’t done any custom code in any PHP files. Only used standard Enfold theme and added some small codes in the quick CSS field.
Also I just backed up the whole site, just in case.
Thanks Andy!
October 16, 2015 at 1:03 pm #519889Hi!
we made different testings on your website and we can see the issue on your end. We need to do some more testings on our own installation to know exactly what’s going on. We let you know when we are done. Thanks for being patient.
Cheers!
AndyOctober 19, 2015 at 12:38 pm #520870Hi Andy,
That’s all right. As long as we find a solution :)
Did you mean “our” end or “your” end in your previous post?
I just went to the webpage and the masonry has changed on the English frontpage compared to the Danish. It’s now showing 4 posts on two rows instead of one row. Is this due to your testing of the site? I would very much like it to be on one line as it was before and as it is on the Danish version of the frontpage.
Thanks!!
October 20, 2015 at 12:03 pm #521521Hey!
I did some more testings on my own installation and could reproduce the issue. Thanks a lot for making us aware about this bug. We have reported it to Kriesi. Hopefully he can find a fix for it for when releasing the next update. Thank you for being patient.

AndyOctober 20, 2015 at 4:35 pm #521802Hi Andy!
Thanks for checking. I’ll be awaiting an update.
Can you please look at my frontpage in English? It shows the masonry in 2 rows and 2 columns even though it’s set to 4 columns inside the theme. This happened after your testing??? The Danish version of the frontpage is correct with 1 row and 4 columns. How do I get it back to how it was?!
Thanks!
October 20, 2015 at 5:16 pm #521851Hey!
try to remove the masonry element, Update your page and afterwards rebuild it again (for english version).
I didn’t touch any row settings.Cheers!
AndyOctober 20, 2015 at 6:02 pm #521920I’ll try that. Thanks :)
October 20, 2015 at 6:30 pm #521945Hey!
alright, I hope it will work fine for you again. Let us know if you still need help with this.
Best regards,
AndyOctober 20, 2015 at 6:49 pm #521964It didn’t work. I removed the masonry and rebuilt it – still wrong layout. Then I built the whole page from scratch but it showed off in a wrong way again… Finally I made a duplicate (duplicate post plugin) of the Danish version of the page (which was correct layout but a translation of the original English page). Then renamed this page and made new link, translated it into an English version and set Enfold to show the new English and Danish duplicates as as frontpages. Long way around… :)
If you want to check what is wrong with the old page I saved it as ‘soundsound – backup’. Don’t know if it’s a bug in the masonry?!?
October 21, 2015 at 5:53 pm #522402Hey!
not sure why your masonry is behaving this way on your soundsound backup page and I can’t reproduce the issue on my end. Maybe there are some corrupted theme files and in this case it would be good if you delete all theme files via FTP and afterwards get a fresh copy from your themeforest account.
Hope this will make things better for you.Regards,
