Hi support,
Masonry – Portfolio entries – Sortable taxonomies – Danish special letters æ ø å not sorted the right way
The webpage I am working on:

The right sorting is in the end of the alphabet:
A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z Æ Ø Å
Masonry is doing it this way: A / B / Ø / P.
(It should have looked like this: A / B / P / Ø)
æ is normally changed to ae
ø is normally changed to oe
å is normally changed to aa.
Any idea of how to do it?

Hm, that is a prety wired issue.
Does Ø means O in alphabet?

Ø is an independent letter in the Danish alphabet (also Æ Å).
However in old times people could write oe meaning ø.
I have tried to change some tables in the database from utf8mb4_unicode_ci to uft8_danish_ci to see if this could change anything.
But som far no luck..
Could you ask som of your teammates?

Masonry is probably sorting by slug in stead of by post title.
Is there a way to change that and to test it?
Any other good ideas are welcome too :-)
SUCCESS – I changed in the database the table wp_terms the sorting of name
from uft8mb4_unicode_ci
to uft8mb4_danish_ci.
Now the Masonry sorting looks Danish ;-)
