Hi
Analysis of page speed gives a score of 52/100 for my home page. It says I could save 818KB, about 80-95% reduction on the masonry images by loading them at an appropriate size rather than loading the large ones then resizing them down in CSS. This is about a 55% reduction in the download size of my home page, as it loads 12 masonry images. All images have already been compressed, there are various sizes of each image, but Masonry just uses the large one.
Is there a way to get Enfold Masonry to load more appropriate image sizes?
Thanks
Here is a visual example of the scale of the problem, the above screenshot shows 2 of the actual image sizes that are loaded in comparison to the size they are actually displayed. I use 6 column masonry on full HD display resolution, the images loaded are more than double the necessary size, there are smaller images are available, but the masonry code does not use them.
Hi!
you could try to work with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ to define custom image sizes.
Hope this helps.
