Tagged: masonry grid
Dear Kriesi,
How can I choose an image size to make all the featured images for my portfolio posts in the masonry grid the same height? I would like all the images to display at 3:2 ratio so the rows line up.
I’m using the masonry grid rather than the portfolio grid because the masonry grid allows me to set a ‘large’ gap between each post in the grid, which the portfolio grid does not.
I’ve tried changing the large image size in Settings / Media to 1024 x 682, and have chosen that as the Image Size in the Masonry Grid, but it’s not being applied. Private link below.
Thanks, Richard
Hey Richard,
Thank you for the inquiry.
You need to ensure that the uploaded images have the same sizes and that the aspect ratio matches your preference. Also, when you change the size of the thumbnails in the Settings > Media panel, you must regenerate the thumbnails or upload the images again. Adjusting the image size will not automatically regenerate new thumbnails for the existing images. You can use the following plugin to regenerate the thumbnails.
