Masonry Gallery not loading properly
Hello,
I have an issue with the displaying of some Masonry Gallery on the gallery page. The gallery page is composed of 27 small Masonry Gallery
Each gallery contain start with a star icon and a title. At the beginning the gallery’s are charging well…
But If you scroll down, at a certain point, the gallery stop loading and then only the title of each gallery is visible but not the images !This happens with Firefox but also with Safari
Wen you change the size of the browser page, suddenly all gallery’s are loading !The site is running WP 5.5.1 with the latest Enfold version 4.7.6.4.
If I visit the gallery page with a mobile phone or an iPad, it work well.
But not on a Computer !?Can you please help me resolving this problem ?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards

Thank you for the inquiry.
Looks like you have added a single Masonry Gallery element for every image in the page. This makes the page unnecessarily heavier or larger than it has to be. Please note that you could add multiple images in a single Masonry Gallery, so you do not have to use multiple ones.
Please remove the other Masonry Gallery element in the page, or just use the Image element if you plan to select or display a single image.

IsmaelOctober 26, 2020 at 6:34 pm #1255804Hello Ismael,
Thank you for your answer.
It’s not like you write, I did not used 1 Masonry Galery for 1 image !
There are 26 Masonry Galery on this page and each gallery is filed with 3 till 13 images.
They need to be separated becaouse I want to show 26 diferent image themes each one with its title.I dont think that it’s a memory problem, because if you look this page on a iPad or an iPhone it work fine. Every Galery is loadig well.
Thions isue is only available if you look the page on a computer and scroll down to the botom of the page.
But if you change the size of the browser window every galerie is loading well ?I tried to build another galery page with the same 26 gallerys but this time by using the standard gallery instead of the Masonery one.
This is working well !
It means that the problem is the Masonery Gallery and not the fact that there are too much galeries on the same page !
What do you think ?
Best regards
EnzoOctober 29, 2020 at 7:12 pm #1256859Hi there,
I found what the issue was on my website.
I have installed Enhanced Media Library plugin which I find great as I like having my images in folders. I deactivated it and it now seem to be working fine. I should have thought earlier about it!
The same plugin has caused me an issue with another website with much more images but with a different issue.Thank you,
VasilisOctober 29, 2020 at 7:16 pm #1256860Hi again,
I just saw that there was an update for this plugin. Now it is working even with the plugin activated.Thank you,
VasilisOctober 30, 2020 at 6:27 am #1256978Hi,
@Vasilis: Thank you for that info. Glad to know the plugin update helped in fixing the issue.
@manzo: Sorry for the confusion. How many images in total did you add in one page? You might want to consider moving the images on separate pages to optimize the loading speed of each page instead of stacking all images in a single page. But if this is really necessary, please try to use the following snippet in the functions.php file to force the window to resize, which should cause the gallery items to reposition while the page is loading.add_action('wp_footer', 'ava_auto_resize'); function ava_auto_resize(){ ?> <script> (function($){ var int = window.setInterval(function(){ $(window).trigger('debouncedresize resize'); }, 1000); $(window).load(function () { setTimeout(function() { clearInterval(int); }, 5000); }); })(jQuery); </script> <?php }
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 30, 2020 at 3:17 pm #1257058Hi Ismael,
Thank you for the snippet.
I will keep it safe in case I need it for another client. You can close this case.
My client decided to go on the safe way by using the standard gallery because she needed to go online with the new gallery.Wish you a nice weekend.
