Is it possible to either move or hide the tooltip text that shows when hovering over the element caption on the Masonry Gallery? I have activated element captions with display excerpt on mouse hover, and it looks good, until the tooltip text comes up and obscures the excerpt text. How can I move the tooltip text out of the way, or hide it?

Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?

RikardApril 21, 2016 at 12:36 pm #619108The site is not live anywhere at the moment, so I can’t provide a link. However, the tooltip I am referring to is the same as the one that pops up on this page when I roll over your profile photo with the text “View Rikard’s profile.” (I am using Safari). Is there a way to move that or hide it? In the masonry gallery, it obscures the figcaption text that appears on hover, which I do want people to be able to read instead of the tooltip text. Thank you.
April 22, 2016 at 9:25 am #619659Hi,
Oh so you mean the default browser thing which comes up on images? I’m not sure but I don’t think that would be possible, it has nothing to do with the theme anyway. What you could try to do is to remove the meta info for the image in the Media gallery. It’s shouldn’t show after that.
Best regards,

If we’re talking about the same thing it should only happen when you hover the images so it’s nothing permanent.

RikardApril 23, 2016 at 12:59 pm #620507The caption comes up when you hover over the image, which is what I want. Then the tooltip comes up and hovers over the caption, with the same text in it, obscuring the caption. So that is a problem, but apparently the only thing to do about it is to omit the caption. I was hoping to be able to hide or move the tooltip so it would not obscure the caption.
