I try to include a portfolio with Masonry Gallery in my site but I have some problems with the image quality.
My JPG made from Photoshop are ok before uploading it in Enfold, but after uploading it and use it in the Masonry Gallery the quality are verry low (a lot of banding and artefacts in the grey gradient background). I tried to save the JPG at top quality and the result are a little better, but not still adequate (and far too weighty) for a portfolio.
Is WordPress or Enfold compresses images when uploading? Is there any way to avoid this annoying problem?
Hi AlainTernet!
If your using a small number of columns (2 – 3) then make sure the images your uploading have a decent size (1000 x 600) or something similar. If the images are smaller then you can increase the number of columns so they do not get “upscaled” and display blurry.
Also try setting the gallery size setting to “Flexible masonry”.
Cheers!
