Masonry gallery

Hi!

Is it possible to assign categories to a full-width masonry gallery? I already have the gallery, but would like the option to filter the images according to category.

I watched the video, but still don’t get it. I tried the portfolio grid, but this requests me to make portfolio entries, which in turn takes me to advanced layout editor, away from my original page. I don’t get it. I just want to select images, give them categories and throw them together in a full-width masonry. Isn’t that possible?

Edit: I watched the video again, no result. I have made 2 portfolio items, each including a masonry gallery. Then on the main page I inserted a portfolio grid, which includes both portfolio items. When I load the page I only see the category names below, but no images.
