    Hi,
    I am having trouble getting my API key to connect through the enfold interface under the google services tab.
    I have followed the steps to create the key and have ensured billing details are activated through my client’s google account, but nothing seems to work.
    I had restrictions on the key, which i removed. I have also checked the syntax of the key and it is okay. I have also deactivated all plugins on the site, and I still can’t get the key to connect. I get a message saying ‘Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.’ The key that is not working seems to disappear from the field when i browse away from that particular area of the back end if I browse back to it. Are you able to help me?
    I have used google’s standard embed code with limited success but would really like to use the Advanced Layout Editor interface so as to gain more control over styling etc. I have placed more details in private content and hope you are able to help.

    Hey antfazz,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    Please enable the Geo Coding service and try again.

    Google Map

    After making the changes please wait for some time until the update is propagated on Google.

    If this does not work please try and create a completely new API key with all the services enabled.

    You may not see the changes until the cached files are cleared in your browser.

    Please perform the below steps to clear the browser cache:

    1. Disable “merging and compression” for CSS and JS files from Enfold > Performance.
    2. If a caching plugin is installed check the plugin settings and clear the cache and deactivate the plugins for testing purpose.
    3. Hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”.

    Thank you! I am still having issues, but I think this is due to an incorrectly configured billing account. I am seeking confirmation from my client and will let you know if I need further assistance.
