    I use a child theme but followed instructions on how to manually update and some other instructions off of this forum to make corrections to some files (function?) in the parent theme. I am afraid to update enfold.
    I have replaced the js/avia.js file only.
    Is there anything else that was updated? or do I bite the bullet?

    Hey KK!

    Yes, there was some more udpates to the Avia framework. We would kindly ask to update everything, as it is really needed.
