This isn’t so much a problem with enfold as it is with us in particular, I’ve never encountered this type of problem before and I couldn’t think of a better place to look for advice,
Many times when clicking a link on the site, a user will be taken to an external website(often with one of those annoying dialogue boxes that prevents you from closing it), and is ultimately a heavy annoyance for everyone.
This is for sure not an issue with my computer, as many users are experiencing it, this is the website,
http://www.manic-expression.com/
To the more savvy webmasters out there, what would you say is the best course of action to troubleshoot/resolve this problem?
June 22, 2015 at 9:41 am #462503Hey James!
You might want to ask your hosting company about this, they usually know where to find the infected files but here’s a few recommendations:
– Change all passwords.
– Overwrite the theme completely with a fresh copy from Themeforest.
– Overwrite WordPress completely with a fresh copy.
– Look for files that should not be there and delete them.Cheers!

I found it in the Enfold folder in the js subfolder, is it common to Enfold sites?
June 29, 2015 at 1:37 pm #465829Hey!
If you mean the folder then yes, it’s part of the theme. It should contain 1 css file and 2 js files.
Cheers!
RikardJune 30, 2015 at 1:45 am #466116Good, because if aviapopup was the problem, I’d b in hell, because aviapopup is everywhere. :p
After running several scans, I have found this directory to be listed as a backdoor,
/public_html/stage/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/function-set-avia-ajax.php
Thoughts?
July 1, 2015 at 3:53 am #466774Hey!
I can’t say for sure if that file was the cause of your problems or not but if it had a security problem then we would most likely hear about it a lot, and as far as I know your issue is the first one. If you get rid of the malware from your site and keep logins safe with good passwords then you shouldn’t have to worry about thing like these in the future.
Best regards,
