Hi there
I’m building out a site that will be focused on affiliate sales, Amazon in particular in the first year.
I’ve discovered how to make all text links nofollow by adding a tag to a post (added some code to functions.php) but I have created images for buttons and making them nofollow is a pain.
Can you help me with a simple solution to make all button links nofollow? I noticed that Thrive Content Builder and Visual Composer have a tickbox to make button links nofollow, would be a great addition in the next upgrade.
But for now, how can I assign nofollow to ALL buttons in a way that stops code getting overwritten during the next update? I am using the child theme.
Alternatively, is it possible to turn Avia builder off and use VC instead?
Cheers in advance
Actually, I found this thread
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/add-relnofollow-on-button-links/
I added that to the functions.php, can I add that custom css rel-nofollow to images that I am linking out from, or will it only work for buttons?
Cheers
Steve
Sorry, I tried it and it works on images, should have done that first
let me know if there is anything else I should do
Steve
Hi,
I am sorry but that is not clear – what you used it is working on images or not?
Best regards,
Basilis
yeah, seems to be. I just add rel-nofollow to the custom css class that is now available for all elements, images, buttons etc, and then checked the code and the rel=”nofollow” attribute is there. So I think it’s ok.
I know that Thrive Content Builder plugin has tha functionality to add nofollow to images, buttons etc, as does Visual Composer, be nice to see that in Enfold
Cheers
Hi,
Glad it is working. Please request the feature here: https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
