Hi I wonder if anyone can help!
Our site http://www.generatorservicing.com has enfold on. Yesterday I tried to do the wordpress update but it crashed and then when I tried to login to the dashboard I just got the white screen afterwards.
I tried a few things and ended up with issues with the w total cache cashing issues I think as when plugins were enabled it brough up lots of errors on the page when I did try to login . So I deactivated them but said issue with advanced cache so deleted that as thought part of total cache and then came up with whole host of errors.
It then made a lot of errors visible to website visitors.
I contact 123-reg whoo we host with and they have been able to updated the wp-admin folder they tell me so website looks working to visitors but when I try and log in to the dashboard I am now getting this
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/ge/ne/ra/generatorservicing.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 682
They say they are unable to help me at this point
Can anyone say what I can do now? I am a novice and am totally lost
Thank you!

It does not seem like a theme issue. Did you do a backup before the update? I would try reinstalling WordPress. You can contact your hosting provider to see if they have automatic backups scheduled.
Cheers!

I have a backup plugin that does them every few days so I don’t think I will have lost anything as not done anything for few weeks.
How do I reinstall wordpress – through ftp?
Do I them reinstall from a backup once wordpress is reinstalled?
Thanks

Yes, https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-wordpress-245, you can load your backup after WordPress is reinstalled.
