Hi,
This is related to thread https://kriesi.at/support/topic/maintenance-page-not-loading/The maintenance site that I included on the Theme Options page is not loading.
It seems parts of the regular homepage (header & menue) are loaded but incorrectly.
For now (as quick but not elegant solution), I’ve set the maintenance page as homepage in the Theme Options page, this way the maintenance page will be shown correct.
Please advise
Thanks
ThomasFebruary 2, 2019 at 7:58 pm #1062049Hey Thomas,
Thanks for the login, I found that your are getting the error in the Private Content area.
Please enable the WordPress > Appearance > Editor so we can check the theme files, or provide FTP access in the Private Content area.
It also looks as though you have a blank space in the child theme directory which can cause errors, please backup & save your theme settings, and deactivate the child theme, then replace the space with a dash or underscore, and reactivate.
The site will think it’s a new child theme, so you can import the theme setting to restore your settings.
Best regards,

Thanks a lot for your answer & instruction.
I think I could manage to get rid of the blank space in the child theme directory.
The maintenance page was working fine until I updated to WP5 and Enfold 4.5 … not sure what finally caused the problem. The page is set up as multisite and I am not sure how to include the Appearance Editor … thus I’ve included ftp login details as private content.
Thanks
ThomasFebruary 3, 2019 at 8:22 pm #1062391Hi,
I see that you are using the Yoast plugin and I read about a issue the dev team is working on with Yoast and the maintenance page, please try disabling Yoast and see if the maintenance page then works correctly.
I didn’t catch that you are using a multisite, does the maintenance page work on the other sites in the multisite?Best regards,
MikeFebruary 3, 2019 at 9:02 pm #1062397Hi Mike,
GREAT – You are my hero !!
Deactivating Yoast made the maintenance page work again. Thank you.Do you know if this is the only problem with the Yoast plugin? Means, can I switch on Yoast again without problems once the page should finally go life?
Thanks again
Thomas
P.S. This is the first site in this multisite installation. So, I cannot answer your second question.February 3, 2019 at 10:32 pm #1062415Hi,
That is great news! The issue seems to be with the Yoast plugin and maybe the WPML (site translator) plugin, the dev team is working on it, and I don’t see any other issues, so in your case you can just turn Yoast back on when you go live.
No need for the second answer, as it was Yoast :)
Unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?Best regards,
MikeFebruary 4, 2019 at 8:21 am #1062512Nothing else … so far.
Please close.Thanks
