I believe the message you show in the Maintenance Mode page editor is confusing and the exact opposite of what you really want.
“This page is currently selected to be displayed as maintenance mode page. (Set in Enfold » Theme Options). (Change) Therefore it cannot be accessed directly by the general public in your frontend. (Logged in users who are able to edit this page can still see it)”
If the page is selected to be displayed as maintenance mode page, this should read:
“…Therefore it CAN be accessed directly by the general public in your frontend…” since that is the whole point of selecting it as the maintenance mode page.
And there is no need to say that logged in editors can see it, because of course they can see it if they are logged in. This message seems more appropriate to put on the Home page in the editor, since when Maintenance Mode is invoked on a different page, the home page will NOT be viewable by the general public, and can only be seen by logged in editors.
