Main Page…showing "Blog Single Author Big" without a sidebar

What I’m trying to do is achieve the look of the blog with sidebar but without the sidebar.

Basically, on the home screen, I’m using many different looks and prefer the appearance of the “blog with sidebar” as opposed to the “blog without sidebar”. In the latter the blog is centered. In the former everything is aligned to the right.

Is there a way to force the look of the “blog with sidebar” where everything is aligned to the right. But do it without a sidebar (when I use asidebar it is pushed all the way to the bottom of the website).

EDIT: point of clarification I am trying to use the “Blog Single Author Big” but unless I put in a sidebar it looks like “Blog Single Author Fullwidth”
