The main navigation / header intermittently shows up as transparent (should be white) and the navigation text shows up as blue or purple if clicked (should be gray). It is not consistently displaying our styling. This issue has gone on for many months. Sometimes, clearing cache/browsing data or a refresh solves the issue, but only temporarily. This issue has been reported across many machines running different browsers.
Please advise, thank you
August 15, 2017 at 11:17 am #839189Hey team_ubermedia,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.1.2) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardAugust 16, 2017 at 6:32 pm #840041Thank Rikard,
We are still experiencing the error. It looks like the problem is stemming from the dynamic_avia folder.
My understanding that this is not a file we upload directly, but a folder that houses our custom css styles. What is the best way to troubleshoot moving forward?
Appreciate your help!
August 17, 2017 at 5:13 am #840201Hi,
You need to clear your cache to check if the problem was solved.
Best regards,
John TorvikAugust 17, 2017 at 6:15 pm #840559It is not a cache issue. As I have stated before, clearing the cache only sometimes seems to fix the header temporarily. This has been an ongoing issue that has survived multiple theme updates and has continued to be experienced across multiple machines and browsers for months.
At your suggestion, I have cleared my cache and am still seeing the transparent header with blue text.
August 17, 2017 at 6:59 pm #840580To provide further information, we need to perform whatever step is required to RE-upload that css file. If we can somehow re-generate it, so it gets placed in the uploads folder brand-new, that’s the action we need to take.
We had an instance that was missing the AWS S3 plugin and a bunch of changes were made that were only saved locally, including this file, and now that we have replaced the instance, the file is gone, and needs to be re-saved so that the S3 plugin will push it to the central storage location
August 19, 2017 at 7:24 pm #841378Hi team_ubermedia,
You can make your changes in the theme options, press save and the file will be regenerated. Do you need any help with css?
Best regards,
VictoriaAugust 28, 2017 at 6:36 pm #844957I have made changes in theme options and saved. We are still experiencing the header issues, even after clearing the cache. Would help with CSS fix it? If so, then yes.
Thank youAugust 28, 2017 at 8:21 pm #845006On our end, it doesn’t look like it is uploading the CSS. The change-and-save needs to use the S3 plugin to upload the final object. Please advise, thank you.
September 2, 2017 at 6:01 am #847063Hi,
The dynamic stylesheet is not loading properly or is not found. Please check the folder and file permission of your installation. Did you install any caching or minification plugin? Please disable those temporarily.
/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold.css?ver=59a462426f8ab Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
Best regards,
IsmaelSeptember 18, 2017 at 10:14 pm #853590Additionally, we are now experiencing Error 404 for our portfolio items.
The enfold.css file (part of a third-party theme) is not being uploaded to the wp-content folder using the same procedure as other content uploads (such as images). Other uploads are being properly copied to S3 and available to all webservers.
The enfold.css file is being written using a different procedure DIRECTLY to the single web instance where someone performs the update, and is therefore not available to any other instance, and generates 404 errors whenever access is attempted.
The theme update mechanism MUST use the same upload procedure as other objects, which will correctly place them in S3 and made available to all instances.
Until this is done, we have no client-side mechanism for fixing this.
Please advise, thank you
September 20, 2017 at 5:42 am #854149Hi,
I’m sorry but I’m not familiar with S3 servers. What do you mean by “theme update mechanism”? Please contact your hosting provider regarding server issues.
Best regards,
IsmaelSeptember 20, 2017 at 8:00 pm #854546We are using plugin that intercepts any “wp-content/uploads” request and pushes them to a third party CDN. The theme we use is somehow bypassing that and placing the css file directly onto the local filesystem. We need for the theme to use the proper mechanism for uploads, the same as when you upload an image to a page.
September 21, 2017 at 12:46 pm #854796Hi,
I’m sorry but I don’t know how we can fix that. The theme requires the dynamic stylesheet in the “uploads > dynamic_avia” folder so you can’t move it anywhere else. Is there any settings in the plugin that can exclude certain files? I still don’t understand what you meant by “proper mechanism for uploads”. Please contact a freelance developer if you want to change how the theme generates the dynamic stylesheet.
Best regards,
Ismael -
