Hi,
How can I start a second row on my main menu located within the header (Mega Menu). If for example I want to add some more menu items, but onto a second row below the current single row, how would I do this? I don’t want to keep adding to the current single row as it becomes so big (width wise), it defaults to the mobile/tablet device view and hides the menu.
Kind Regards,
Tim

Have you tried adding fullwidth submenu element to your page under content elements in Advanced Layout Builder?

Thanks for your reply.
The thing is I need it to be in the header so it appears on every page. Using the method you have suggested, I would have to go through every page (150+) to insert it and then the same thing every time it needs editing.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Kind Regards,
Tim
May 23, 2017 at 4:00 pm #798340Hi,
Unfortunately at the moment we don’t have a “global” template option. It sounds like you need to create your own custom page template if the built in options don’t work for you.
See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Page_Templates
If you just want the menu to break into a new line, then maybe simply setting a max-width on the menu via css may work for you.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Are you able to tell me what the code to limit the max width should be?

May 23, 2017 at 5:48 pm #798397Hi,
So just to be clear, you would be wanting to add additional text menu items after “Ask a Pilot”? As well as keeps the drop downs?

Basically, if I add any additional menu items after “Ask a Pilot”, I want it to display on a row below the current menu, not increasing the width of the current menu. At the moment the browser has to be open to a wide dimension to stop the menu defaulting to mobile/tablet mode.

May 25, 2017 at 1:51 am #799302Hi,
Have considered adding widget area to your header – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-a-widget-area-to-the-header/ and placing some of your menu items in it instead? Setting the menu in two rows would not be easily achieved without modification to the theme files.
