I upgraded Enold from 2.61 to 2.81 after upgrading to WP 3.9.1.
All went well except that my main menu blew up (width became height, and menu is a single column).
The upgrade was on my backup site, thankfully (link provided in “Private Content”).
I’m pretty sure something changed in the core CSS and it is a float, display, UL/LI sort of fix, but I can’t seem to figure it out. (Nor am I sure why an upgrade would mess that up.)
Can you please help me fix the backup site’s main menu so I can do all the updates to the live site?
Thank you very much!
Hi keithcrest!
Please update header.php file in your child theme as well
Regards,
Yigit
Thank you, Yigit. For me, it was “update the helper-main-menu.php file in my child theme” (I’m letting you know just in case someone else is fumbling around with this like me :-).
I would never have thought to update a child theme file…I thought the purpose of a child theme was to avoid that. So you 100% pointed me in the right direction, and I thank you very, very much!
