Hi there,
the title says it all, actually. If I change the background settings for the Main Content, it only affects my front page (where I can only see it while loading, as I have a full screen slider there). The background of all other pages stays white like before.
Is it supposed to be that way, and if yes, how do I set a background image for the other pages?
September 18, 2015 at 8:15 pm #505756I just saw that on mobile device, the bg image is there on all sites.
And there is another issue: The bg image should be in fixed position, but when scrolling on mobile device, the image always stays behind a little and then moves to its fixed position. I find this quite unpleasant when browsing a site. My smart phone may not be the fastest, but then I think there are many people with slower devices out there…

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Thanks,

September 21, 2015 at 6:21 am #506213Hi!
For clarification, the Main Content refers to the section inside a page. We applied a background image in the General Styling > Alternate Content panel as well and then created a test page to explain it better: http://bernhard-kaeferboeck.at/test/
The test page contains two color sections, first color section’s Section Bacground > “Section Colors” option is set to “Main Content” while the other section is set to “Alternate Content”. See how it applies the background set on General Styling > Alternate Content and General Styling > Main Content panel. If you want to see these backgrounds on different pages, you need to add a color section element then set Section Bacground > “Section Colors”.

but to me that doesn’t explain, why the “Main Content” background is there on all pages (without the use of any color sections) when in mobile resolution. It’s just not there when in a normal desktop resolution, as you can easily see for yourself. This has to be a bug, doesn’t it?
Sure, I can use the color sections as a workaround. But one thing, I don’t find ideal about them is, that if the color section spans over the whole height and the page content doesn’t, the content will be vertically centered, and there seems to be no way to change that. Or is there?

If you don’t add a color section on a page, the content is still enclosed inside a container with the “main_color” class attribute by default. That’s why the background is still there.
.main_color { background: #ffffff url(//bernhard-kaeferboeck.at/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Hintergrund_1_04.jpg) top left no-repeat fixed; }
The color section doesn’t need to span the whole height of the browser unless you set it to do so in the Section Minimum Height option.
Best regards,
