We are very sorry but something went wrong. Please try again later.
Hi there,
I moved my WP site to another domain. On the old domain, signup is working. On the new domain, I get the error.
What I’ve tried so far:- Added new domain to Verified domains inside MailChimp settings
- Renewed API key
- Removed MailChimp widget and reinserted widget
- Renamed form elements
I’m out of options…?

February 15, 2017 at 7:53 pm #747629Wow……
I made a new signup form, added this as default, and then changed back to the previous. Now it’s working.
Never mind :-)February 15, 2017 at 9:47 pm #747690Hey!
We are happy you got it short out.
Please feel free to let us know if we can help you with anything else. Thanks a lot

It’s not working again, unfortunately. Can you please check if you can see what goes wrong?
Thanks,
PeterFebruary 16, 2017 at 3:02 pm #747976It seems that if I put the Mailchimp subscription inside a Widget (Footer or Sidebar Blog) it doesn’t work. If I put a Mailchimp signup Content element on a standard page, it works just fine. Any ideas?Nope, after a few minutes, it doesn’t work again. That’s odd, initially it works fine, and after a while it breaks. Where can I start troubleshooting?

February 20, 2017 at 8:49 pm #749563It’s been five days since I reported this problem.
Can anyone please try to help me out?
The form (it works just for one or two signups, after that it breaks):

February 20, 2017 at 9:50 pm #749605Hey!
We can help, but when you reply inside the topic, we loose your post, it goes to the end and you go last.
That way – we an not help at all.Can you please check if your server might be blocking the connections API?
It seems that the data do not go through because of that reason/.Regards,
BasilisFebruary 25, 2017 at 9:55 pm #751841Thanks Basilis, didn’t realize that this topic was already closed.
I asked my webhosting provider but they say that they can’t see anything wrong and blame it on Mailchimp. But I do suspect that the hosting provider is at some point blocking the outgoing emails from Mailchimp because the “From” address inside Mailchimp is not from the same domain as vrolijkwerk.nl (it’s a Gmail account). Do you think that’s plausible? I will try to get my client to change it into a vrolijkwerk.nl e-mail address. Thanks,

Could you please provide the login details? And post the content of the .htaccess file on pastebin.com.

IsmaelMarch 2, 2017 at 7:17 pm #754485Hi,
See Private Content section.
Thanks!March 2, 2017 at 9:38 pm #754613Hi!
Please try today and check it is working.
Mailchimp, together with other services, have had issues with AWS.
That is because, mailchimp is also using that cloud in-fracture.Cheers!
BasilisMarch 2, 2017 at 11:05 pm #754703Hi, it’s still not working. Did you try it yourself?
March 3, 2017 at 6:57 am #754843Hi!
I’m still not sure why it’s not working. Please post the FTP details here so that we can do a few test in the config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes > mailchimp.php file.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 7, 2017 at 11:30 pm #757342Thanks, here you go…
March 8, 2017 at 11:40 am #757709Hey!
I added an old API key and then reverted back to your own API key. I’m not sure what happened but the form seems to be working properly now.

IsmaelMarch 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm #758354Hi,
Unfortunatly, it’s not working. I’ve seen it many times before, if you change something in the settings like the API key it works for a couple of signups, but eventually it stops working again.
Can you further investigate, please?March 10, 2017 at 10:36 am #758796Hi!
I tested the form again today and it’s still working.
// http://www.vrolijkwerk.nl/testmail/
Could you please test it multiple times? Let us know if you can still reproduce the issue.
I’ll also ask the rest of the support team to try it.
Cheers!
IsmaelMarch 11, 2017 at 10:01 am #759335That’s very strange. It just doesn’t work when I try it. I always get the error “We are very sorry but something went wrong. Please try again later.”.
Does it only block some IP address range or something? Is there any log file or debugging possible?March 14, 2017 at 4:12 am #760392Hey!
I’m sorry for the late response. The error is quite intermittent and I can’t pinpoint the issue. However, I’ve added a few debugging function in the mailchimp.php file. I’ll check it over and over until I can reproduce the issue again. I’ll let you know once I got the info.
Regards,
IsmaelMarch 15, 2017 at 3:05 am #761081Having the same issue here. Form works sometimes, just stops working again.
Intermittent and unreliable. My clients are complaining cause losing signups. If there’s a solution that would be great.
March 15, 2017 at 8:18 am #761203Hi!
@Hayek: Please create a new thread and provide the WP and FTP login credentials so that we can check it. It’ll help us debug the issue.
@vrolijkwerk: I checked the site again today and the subscription form is working properly. The debugging method that I setup in the mailchimp.php file is only going to work if the form failed. As of now, it’s working fine. Are you on a shared hosting?Regards,
IsmaelMarch 21, 2017 at 10:15 pm #764385Hi Ismael,
Today I’ve tried 4 different subscriptions, and they all worked. I’ll try again tomorrow. Do you think it is caused by your debugging code?
Yes, the website is on shared hosting. Is that a problem?Regards,

March 22, 2017 at 6:29 am #764572Hey!
Yes, the website is on shared hosting. Is that a problem?
Shared hosting is sometimes limited in resources, specially bandwidth, so it creates intermittent errors when passing data across multiple servers. It’s possible that the error occurs when another website/websites on the same shared hosting are active — have traffic — or requests.
