    Hello,

    I am using the mailchimp form on my Enfold Scheme. After unsubscribing an email, I cannot re-subscribe. After unscubscribing, and after reentering the email in the mailchimp form, I received the message: User already existing.

    After that, I deleted this contact completely within in my maichimp acount (cause after unsubscribing this contact as still listed as unscubscribed). After that, when I try to resubscribe, I get this error message:
    Es tut uns sehr leid, aber etwas ist schief gelaufen Bitte versuchen Sie es später noch einmal.

    Any ideas, how to fix that, so that it is possible to resubscribe?

    Sorry for the very late reply and thanks for your patience, when Enfold is connected to mailchimp no data is kept on your WordPress site, nor in Enfold, all data is stored in mailchimp.
    I tested this again with mailchimp and found that mailchimp will not let a user subscribe if they have been unsubscribed by the list owner in the mailchimp dashboard, the trick is to Archive the user:

    Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I have tried that (with the archive), but it didint work. Out of desperation I even deleted the contact entirely, means it is ommited completely from mailchimp. But still, it doesnt work. I still get an error message on Enfold from when trying to resubscribe.

    Hi,
    Sorry I don’t know why this would be occurring, I can not imagine that this involves caching or your browser because of the way that element is connected to mailchimp, and as you see I can not recreate this with a basic mailchimp account. I would not feel comfortable logging into your mailchimp account, so please try asking the mailchimp support why your account is giving this error.

    But this seems like you are having an issue “Testing” your mailchimp account and not with an actual user issue, if your user unsubscribed, I don’t believe they would then turn around and resubscribe again, so it seems moot?
