Mailchimp not adding Subscribers

Hello,

I have set up the Newsletter via Mailchimp Component in the Theme Options, added a valid Mailchimp API Key, it sees the available lists, and it says they are able to connects to my Mailchimp account. I see the lists there.

On the page that it is to appear, I have added the Mailchimp Signup content element, chosen the correct list, and see each element that should be filled out. It looks great on the page.

When I try to add a subscriber, the message says “This email address is already subscribed, thank you!”. No message gets sent to the email address (I have it set up to send an email to confirm), and when I check Mailchimp, that email is NOT on the list.

I have tried with several email addresses with the same result.
