    I am getting “Very low contrast (1:1)” on my site where there is white text against black background. How is this possible?

    my site – https://bowl360.nyc/

    It is under the section labelled “BRAND NEW ARCADE”

    thanks

    Hey navindesigns,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    It might refer to other areas of the page, such as the headline “Welcome to Bowl 360 Ozone Park” in the first section with the background video. Have you tried removing this text? Which tool are you using to check the contrast?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    I am using this tool – https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/wave-evaluation-tool/jbbplnpkjmmeebjpijfedlgcdilocofh?pli=1

    With this tool, it will tell you exactly where the error is coming from and on my page it is coming from the white text against black background which is not correct. For example if you look at the section “BRAND NEW ARCADE – Get your game on! Bring your family, compete with friends, and enjoy epic eats and amazing cocktails while you’re at it – Perfect Game is fun for everyone!” – you will see there is an alert associated with it.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The contrast evaluation is possibly incorrect or there’s an error in the tool you’re using. White text on a completely black background (or vice versa) should have a contrast ratio of 21:1. (https://coolors.co/contrast-checker/ffffff-000000). You may need to either disregard this result or try using a different evaluation tool.

    I figure out why its doing that

    take a look at this screenshot – https://ibb.co/pvgqpzD

    for some reason when i select that heading text, it is sayhing that the background is white

    Is there anyway in enfold we can set that to transparent? that may solve the issue

    thanks alot

    Hi,
    When I check the background color is black:

    It looks like your tool has an error, changing to transparent probably won’t fix. Try this:

    #center_all .av_custom_color.av-subheading.av-subheading_below p {
    	background-color: #000;
    }

    Best regards,
    Mike
