After updating to 4.0.6 we’re experiencing a lot of strange issues. We updated to 4.0.7 but are still experiencing the issue. We’re on WP 4.7.5 multisite.
NOTE: The site with the issues is not live but there are other sites on the network are so please keep that in mind when making any changes.
1. The body area on some pages, but not all, has changed from #fff to #444 (same as the Socket color). If we change the socket color to #fff it solves the issue but then we end up with a white Socket. (See URL #1 in private content below). I haven’t investigated deeply enough but it seems like elements have somehow overlapped or combined.
2. There are a number of issues with sections. In URL #1 below we have a 1/1 layout element. Previously they were at 980 wide and centered but now are 100% width like a Color Section. As you can see the heading “Engineering, Innovation, State of the Art Durability” and text below are affected as is the other text element within a 1/1 (or narrower) section. Some pages render correctly such as the home page or the contact page (URL #4 ).
3. On Woocommerce product pages we’re experiencing similar issues and images are rendering at full size rather than constrained to their section. This relates to #2 above. Refer to URL #2.
4. Full Width Layer slider on this page is rendering within the body area width rather than 100% browser width. Refer to URL #3. This is strange because the same element at the top of the page is rendering correctly.
5. We have a spacer at the bottom of the page below the last gray row and it is not separating the gray bar from the blue footer. Refer to URL #3.- This topic was modified 7 years, 7 months ago by camber. Reason: Added "NOTE:"
May 18, 2017 at 9:52 pm #796185Hey Greg,
We only connect to sites that are publicly accessible.
Can you please create a testing environment and then post logins there – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/?
Thanks for your understanding! :)
Best regards,

It’s too big to move.
May 19, 2017 at 11:47 am #796502Hi,
In that case we can provide you an older version of the theme if you could let us know which version was working fine on your end then maybe you could create testing environment at your convenience and we could look into Enfold 4.0.7 related issues then? :)
Best regards,
YigitMay 19, 2017 at 10:29 pm #796821Hi Yigit,
Respectfully I’m not sure that spending hours upon hours on our end to put the site on a publicly available domain makes sense in order to save your team 60 seconds.
FWIW here are some of our observations:
What we’ve found so far is that the fractional Layout Elements such as 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 etc have begun rendering full browser width rather than remaining within the 980 page width that is set.
Part of the issue is LayerSlider. When we remove layerslider from the top of the page the upper section of the page renders correctly. When we leave it in place and add an empty Color Section below it it also renders correctly. It also works if the elements are dropped into a color section. The lower section, after some of the elements that are rendering correctly, is also broken in most cases. When we add another Color Section below the correctly rendering sections and above the broken section, the lower portion of the page renders correctly.
Another issue is that the “Socket background color” in General styling is also altering the body background color, not just the socket. When we change the socket background setting to #fff and add a #socket property with #333 in CSS the page(s) render as it should with a white body and a #333 socket. Previously we had the socket set at #333 and after the update some pages rendered with 333 background.
In console we see a number of “Unmatched end tags” also.
May 24, 2017 at 12:52 am #798643After going through the site in detail we found that All In One SEO Pack when “Run Shortcodes in Autogenerated Descriptions” is enabled a number of divs and classes are stripped out, causing the issue. Uncheck that option and the theme functions correctly.
May 24, 2017 at 1:25 pm #798874Hi,
Thank you for the info. We are not familiar with how the “Run Shortcodes in Autogenerated Descriptions” option works so additional info from the plugin authors will definitely help. Is it still breaking if every elements or set of elements are wrap inside a color section?
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 24, 2017 at 9:24 pm #799177As I recall, the color sections seem to be the magic element that restores order to the page. Whether it’s adding elements within the color section or placing an empty color section above the broken elements.
I know that your team is not willing to access the site but if you choose to you can do a diff on the source code between the setting on and off. However, if you do, we ask that it be enabled for only a few brief moments.
I also have not found this to resolve the socket background color issue previously mentioned.
