The designer had set up various options within the Enfold-Child Theme options, colour, logo etc. I created a css file that is referenced in /enfold-child/style.css by @import “enfold-child.css”;. After uploading the import file and style.css the theme option appeared to reset. We are sure we haven’t done anything else to trigger the reset. The Child theme was already selected. So I now have two questions: 1. is there away to get the settings back? We do have a backup but it was done before the designer made some updates & 2. why did this happen?

The import cannot really cause the theme options to reset. No, the options are not backed up by the theme.
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
