When I edit and update the homepage, the edits are visible in the 2015 theme but not in the enfold theme. Using latest Enfold with latest WordPress and minimal plugins. (Have tried turning off all plugins already – no joy there.)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login and edit any of the homepage icon boxes
2. Save and Update
3. Note that the icon box is not updated after “Update”.
4. Activate 2015 theme
5. Edit homepage icon box and Update
6. Note that the update works, view the page and see the text is changed.
7. Activate the enfold or Enfold Child theme.
8. Note that changes are reverted back to what they were to begin with (Lorem Ipsum).Screenshots: (you need to click the link to see the 2015 version)

Tried rebuilding the homepage ‘from scratch’. Had to leave it for 2 hours due to a medical appointment, came back and the new page is not allowing me to update edits as well. (Edits to the FAQ page appeared to work)
I am led to think that either Enfold doesn’t store page content in the same place as other themes or that there is a problem with file permissions, or both. I am including logins for both the WordPress installation and the ftp server in private content. A link to check my php configuration is also included.
used Enfold several times in the past and have generally had very little trouble with it. I love working with it, and would love to know what is causing this. Thanks in advance for the great support I am about to receive! :D

July 14, 2016 at 12:30 am #660614the problem i think is in my child-theme. not certain why, but now i can edit and save in Enfold not using the child theme. if i move the few lines of css over to Enfold using the Quick CSS I think this will be fine. just to verify: Quick CSS is preserved when we update theme files?
For everyone else googling and finding this post: Try stripping the installation down to just Enfold, without a child theme, and see if you can save your edits. If so, the problem might be in your child theme files somewhere.
My plan is to try to finish the site using only the Quick CSS for the few tweaks I need to make. I’ll post back here with results, or further documentation of my problem if it persists. (Pretty sure this is a problem in my child theme files, though.)
See? You guys are so good you telepathically sent me in the correct direction in search of a solution! I remain a loyal fan.
[edit: still working great. you guys can consider this thread solved and close it out if you want to. thanks for Enfold. since starting to use it a couple years ago my job is so much easier and i end up with a superior site. thanks for that. -jonm]
