Greetings kriesi.at team –
Having an issue with my text formatting tools disappearing when I use the enfold theme. In short, neither the standard WP-included text formatting toolbar shows up nor does the ALE button seem to function. Switching theme away from enfold fixes the problem and I’m kinda stumped on how to proceed.
Thus far, I have:
1) deleted the entire contents of my server and reinstalled WP 4.1.1 and
2) downloaded a fresh Enfold copy from Themeforest and installed
3) not activated any plugins (only uploaded to /plugins/ folder)
Here’s a brief (1:18) screengrab vid of my issue on display: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVpC3SDoAyA Hope that helps make clearer the issue.Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what it could be off the top of my head. Can you send us a WordPress login so we can take a look?
Cheers!

Your getting a weird javascript error.
TypeError: $(...).pointer is not a function $(pointer.target).pointer( options ).pointer('open');
I couldn’t find any information for it online. It looks like your on a fresh install of WordPress correct?
Did you install WordPress manually or use a one click install with your hosting provider? I would try reinstalling WordPress to see if that fixes it. Since you do not have any posts or pages then I would also create a new database during the reinstall just to be sure.
Also, just another thing I noticed is that when I try and view your site it loads a different theme. Do you have the domain pointing to a different server?
Best regards,

April 14, 2015 at 6:17 pm #428382Thanks for checking Elliott. To answer your questions:
Yes, it’s a fresh copy of WP 4.1.1. I manually installed it versus one-click.
The landing page is a relatively simply HTML “Coming Soon”-type page. Can’t imagine that would have any bearing on this since it’s higher up in the stack but worth checking out. Thanks again.April 15, 2015 at 5:31 pm #429084Hey!
Did the WordPress reinstall help?
Cheers!

Yes, the format and reinstall worked to remove the issue, though I’m not really sure how or why it appeared in the first place. Fortunately, it was already a blank slate so no content was lost; I’d hate to think this may appear again a few months down the road after hundreds of pages and posts. But for now, yes, thank you. All seems to be back to functional.
