    Hi!

    I’ve had my logo in the same spot, same size/image, for three years or so…and all of the sudden in the last few weeks it’s cut-off about the half the time.

    Also, I added a header image on my homepage, and the bottom of it gets cut off at the same time that the logo does (then the other 50% of the time, both the logo and the image are correct).

    Hi algkent,

    Can you try to disable CDN on your site? and clear or flush out any cache if you have caching plugin.

    Hi algkent,

    CDN is content delivery network, it is used for faster website performance by having your images and other website resources like stylesheets and js scripts to be loaded in other servers.
    Can you try to deactivate Shortpixel plugin? I noticed that the cdn seems to be coming from shortpixel, you can see the link in private content.
    The original image is not cut off but the CDN image is cut off.

    I’ve had the Shortpixel plugin for about a year now — if I shut it off, can we turn it back on? It’s really important for my site speed.

    Hi algkent,

    Yes, this is just temporary to know if it’s the shortpixel plugin causing it (clearing cache after is also important).
    Maybe have it turn off for some time, maybe several hours.

    Hi!

    Okay – so I deactivated ShortPixel for the last 4-5 days, cleared my cache, and thought the problem had been solved… but then today I just went to my site and both the logo and the header image is cut off again, like before.

    I should note that I cleared the Autoptimize cache. Is there a different cache I need to clear?

    Hi algkent,

    Thanks for pointing it out, it is fixed now.
    I have unchecked Optimize Images (description: Optimize images on the fly and serve them from Shortpixel’s global CDN) under Autoptimize > Images (tab).
    Then save and emptied cache. :)

    Whoops – my header image is still cut off on the bottom (half the time it is fine, and half the time the legs on the piggy bank are cutoff, like how they are now —https://ibb.co/QX8TKRv).

    Hi algkent,

    The reason it’s showing that way is because you are using it as a background image with Background Attachment set to Fixed.
    I have set it to Scroll to fix it. :)

    Thanks – I had wanted it to stretch across the screen which is why I had it set that way.

    What’s weird is that half of the time, you see the entire piggy bank, and half of the time, you don’t. Like what the logo was doing.

    The way you have the header makes the piggy bank smaller – I’ll sit with it and see if I like it this way or not.
