    Dear support team,

i read a lot of tips from this forum about, how to increase the logo size and things like that.
But they all base on CSS – which is nice and shouldn’t be ignored – but he main thing I got really stuck and mad is the fixed size of the logo which php renders at this point and I couln’t find any filter or setting to change that.

My file which is loaded for the logo in the header has a fix size of 300px width, no matter what.
The URL shows that my file of 1000px or 820px or whatever is downsizes to 300px width:
    /wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Logo_Komplett-03-300×54.png

I’m happy that you think about the navigation not crshing in the logo, but I really want to expand the file width and can’t find the way to do it.
There had been tips in this forum (and in the settings page) like, change the header size to a bigger one – but even “big” and custom didn’t work. So, what’s the point about that and where can I fix that to finish my customer needs?

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it (even with my madness) ;)

    Best,

    Martin

    Hi Victoria,

thanks for your reply to my question.
Actually I don’t know to which of the sections of this page you refer, based on my question.

I tried to solve the topic again with the custom height of the header, tried to find the hook of the image which get’s the url from the form field and using the custom width of the picture – but I couln’t find it.

But: In order to that I found a solution for me, which is – in both ways – annoying and also working for me.
I saw, that while uploading / selecting the image that the url already gets replaced with the custom size. So after selecting the image, I have to manually replace the resizes image path to the full one. Not a great way, but better than searching somewhere in the code for the display size you’re using for this cropping.

How bad, that there’s not a pretty way using the image as expected, especially with the “most common template on envato”.

But for now it works for me. Please make a request for me, replacing this “bug” for future updates of the theme. Thanks!

    Best,

    Martin

    Hi Maltolomaeus,

Can you please make a small screencast of the issue? So that we can investigate it a bit more, if you have time and desire of course :)

    Best regards,
    Victoria

Hello Victoria, I have exactly the same issue. I have tweaked the css code in the child theme to change the logo container and image size, but it still loads the image with the “300x” suffix. I need it to load the full size image. Is there a snippet I should add in the functions.php file?
    Thanks

Hey, a quick update: as the original poster said I just had to correct manually the url path and delete the suffix. It was actually pretty easy :)
